It's his passing threat that makes opposing bigs have to think about too many things which causes him to create scoring opportunities. You can see it when he spun off AD with that little extra elbow, where AD--one of the top interior defenders in the league--was so worried about passing lanes and cutters that he wasn't even thinking about the fact Jokic loves to spin left and finish right before you can recover.
I think that is not the same doing all his stuff on a regular match or in an important match. The level of intensity and everything is way higher on a playoff so it is normal to the people to give more value to a play against a great opponent thant to a weak one. And besides that they are professionals and everything a person is not the same when playing a season match or a final/special match
