    Did this yesterday. Yes sis the batter was fluffy n idlis spongy. This d same measurement that I use, only think I don't soak for 8hrs. And tq for tips that helped too🤗

      Hi sis. This is my old old idli steamer bought in 2002. Almost 20 plus years. Difficult to get the same type sis. Many sisters asked me already. Mayb you try online kadai style idli steamer...good luck sis. Thank you so much ❤️

    Mrs Siva, thank you so much for sharing this simple recipe with us subscribers. You always make use of ingredients that are easily available from our kitchen. Not forgetting your useful tips that you share with us in between while cooking. All this while i didn't know you can add a dried chilli to the batter. Thank you Mrs Siva.

    The cooked rice should be overnight cooked rice or freshly cooked rice? Was it jasmine rice used for the cooked rice?

      Cook rice for lunch. Use the lunch leftover rice to blend with the ulunthu in the evening. Yes jasmin also can

    Sis just checking.. Should the batter be super fine or a little coarse? My mixie doesn't achieve super fine texture regardless how long I grind.

      No need to be super fine sister. A little course is ok for idli. For tosai should be a little fine.

      Kisar hampir2 halus kak. Tepung ni 2 in 1 idli boleh tosei pun boleh. Kalau tepung pekat tambah air sikit. thank you kak

    Sis your cups is how many grams can you please tell me the measurement sis properly thank you sis. 💞

      You can take any cup that you have. Just follow this ratio 4:1. Example 4 cups rice and 1 cup urad dhall. That is standard measurement for idli. But for this recipe i put urad dhall a little bit more thats all.

      Like i said in the video its just to help ferment the dough. The tiny2 bacteria frm the tangkai cili will mix with the flour and activate the fermentation
