Another good time with VTL and Maggie. So many neat places to visit in the south that Is easily passed by but very interesting. The bit of the crane and tearing the ship apart was so interesting to me being from the Great Lakes area and my soon to be family member is a salvage diver. Amazing and dangerous job. Until next time, safe travels and happy tails. 👍❤️🐕🚗🇺🇸🙋🏼♀️
I bet being a salvage diver is pretty amazing... We did a lot of research after hearing about the overturned ship and it’s really fascinating all that is involved in the clean up. Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
I can't thank you enough for your videos! Love traveling with the three of you. Your numbers say 9.6k but they must be wrong. I am watching several channels and YOUR channel was up on their screen (tv or computer or iPad). so I know you have a wider fan base. I had to laugh!!! Agan, thanks!
You must have been watching Wings and Wheels of Alaska. We met them last year on our trip to Alaska and became quick friends, they are great people and we have always supported each other. 9.6 is correct, but we are still trying to grow our channel. Thanks for the sweet comment.
Another great video. All the beauty smells of relaxation and pure stress release. The walks on the beach with Maggie and the sunset with the wife are so amazing. I love you guys and your VAN. You three travel so free.......
You might try putting a little Vicks under your nose the next time you empty your cassette toilet. Nurses use that trick to keep from smelling something worse.
Hey Guys! So glad to see you out and about enjoying some simple pleasures. Even during Covid, you’ve proven that with precautions, you can still do some fun trips. (Emphasis on precautions.) Those who are thinking of starting a new hobby, lifestyle or adventure should remember that not all trips need to take months of planning and be filled with epic adventures. Sometimes the simplest things are important, too. Watching a colorful sunset, seeing your pooch race around with a new friend or searching out spirit trees can prove to be as memorable as the trip of a lifetime. Finding joy in the surroundings you’re in may be just the ticket for making an unforgettable journey. Looking forward to more fun and trips down the road with Lynne, Owen & Maggie! Bye bye from NW Florida!
I couldn’t agree with you more. We love the simple things in life and find much joy in just walking on the beach with Maggie enjoy each other’s company. Thanks so much for your comment.
Seeing that clean Revel reminded me that I have to go get the Flying Chicken and scrub of 7,000 miles of dirt and grime from my trip. Thank you for the St. Simons Island information. We have driven by the exit a hundred times and always say we want to go visit and never do because it was in the middle of our daylong drive between NC to FL or FL to NC. Soon we will visit. Happy Holidays to y’all and of course Maggie.
I get it with the smaller van and how to utilize the space. I have a 13 ft. Scamp so I can easily pull with my Subaru Outback Me and two Siberians. Perfect, but like you guys always looking to best utilize it. We just got it before covid lockdown so we have only camped a couple of weeks. Hope to maybe see you out there when this craziness is under control. Live your channel.
Wow another interesting, adventure in this video. Love the sounds of the waves . The scenery is awesome and I do love looking at that. The TREE SPIRIT was something that I never seen and that was fantastic. 10 out 10. I really enjoy your adventures . Thank you for sharing this wonderful video !!!! BS & BK
Those tree spirits are spectacular! Miss Maggie and her zoomies! Thank you for sharing another beautiful video! Hugs and kisses from us to all of you. ❤️
We’ve wanted to do that several times, but we don’t want to leave Maggie in the van by herself that long. I’ve heard it’s really nice. Thanks for the suggestion.
Love St Simons! Check out Driftwood Beach on Jekyll Island next time you’re in the area. It’s beautiful. How cute was that little puppy! I think Maggie may need a little sister just like that!😂
Next weeks video will be in Jekyll Island. We love that place! I’m not sure how jealous Maggie would be with a dog around all the time, maybe one day... but we may need a bigger RV.
Beautiful area guys! We saw that overturned ship from Jekyll Island in Jan 2020 on our way down to Florida. I'd hate to see the state of the cars in there now!
5:13 y’all should invest in an “Instant Pot” #instantpot it’s the best van life pressure cooker, you can also sear meat, crock pot stews chili’s, slow cook etc...very multi use and all in a small space saving package too.
Looks like Maggie drops 10 years when she meets up with a younger friend. I think Ember is waiting for Maggie to come run in the snow with her. Love those tree carvings. Stay safe guys. Cheers!!!
We love watching Maggie meet new friends, she does seems to get an extra burst of energy. We can’t wait for her and Ember to get back together. Thanks so much for watching and Cheer to you!
Owen and Lynn you are rock stars! Just watched Wings and Wheels and Owen is on their tv and Deb from “From She to Me” has the happy dance down pat! Love your videos, keep them coming! Enjoy!
If I would take time, I could go to SSI everytime I come into town. I'm always too busy! Hunting for fishing floats on Jekyll Island is a favorite past time in January and February. Glad you enjoyed your time on the island.
Thanks for sharing this beautiful place. We have an order in for a Travato but really enjoy seeing how you make the Revel work for you. I am curious why you didn’t use the bench and table in the first place. It looks like the perfect dining area. Happy travels to you.
dropped the money down and placed my order last week for a 2022 Travato GL.... Owen saying "I don't know about that" reminded be of a SNL skit.. look up Amazon Echo Silver for a chuckle.. be safe..........
Loved the search for tree spirits! They were cool! I agree with Lynn: Owen, the emptying job is yours for life.😝😆😆😆 Great job with the music and the videos...I love the ability to find free camping. Y'all are awesome! Have a great week, my friends! (Your friend, Jane in SC❤️)
Thank you Jane for your comment. It was a lot of fun finding the tree spirits and something we could do safely. We appreciate you spending part of your Sunday morning with.
I was there years ago and found a small park on the water where it was (at that time) legal to park overnight, even had a dump station! It's probably gone now.... :(
Don’t know if is possible but you may want to consider changing out your toilet for a Nature’s Head composting toilet. Much much more pleasant to manage. Happy travels and happy holidays! Love your videos!
@@VANTREKKINGlifestyle After 20+ years RV’ing it’s the best solution yet. I don’t think we will ever go back to anything else. It’s super easy to manage the liquids and for solids you can go 2-3mos depending on usage in between empties. Can’t beat that. Hope it can work for you.
So what was the verdict of front vs back living? Haven't seen any options that look comfortable for long term sitting and relaxation in the back. Don't think we'll ever see Lynn rolling that #$%@ case, lol! Smart lady!
When we reviewed the video I told Owen we should have told the verdict on front vs back. We do use both areas but if we watch TV we used the back. I want say I want roll the #$%@ case but it will have to be an emergency. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for sharing your your travels. We always like to find out about new places to dry camp. You have to hit us up sometime and we can give you a few places in South Carolina 👍
Hi to you all. Over the last few years we had traveled to Charleston area and the KOA in Mt. Pleasant is nice. Now in Charleston The Battery, White Point Garden the outside lane near the water Murray Blvd. We have talked to 3 different people that have stayed over night class B vans and one Truck camper ect. They said they say the night and leave during the day to explore and come back for the night. It’s nice there and a lot to do and eat 👍 Also just across the Ravel Bridge there is a nice Welcome center and park.
Some of the tree spirits need to see a happy dance. They look kind of grumpy. Cassette toilets are efficient and convenient but not for everyone. Maybe a composting toilet should be a consideration. Keep on dancin”.
We did not have permission, but there were “no overnight” signs. We did find it on the iOverlander app where others had stated it was an ok place to stay.
It will probably be forbidden in short order because others will abuse the spot There is a Walmart nearby that forbids overnight parking the manager said people started treating it like a campground and staying for multiple nights
Yes... but I pity the flight attendant that tries to pull that thing down... or the folks sitting in the seat under it. 😂 I’ll let you give it a go next year if you want. Stay safe friends.
We say the same thing, Owen: “Shitter’s full!” 🤣
I guess great minds think alike. Have a wonderful Christmas!

Looks like you got to witness the King Tide! 6:08min.
Yes we did, pretty amazing.
Very nice. I love the water and the tree spirits.
Thank you, we appreciate you watching.
Enjoy watching your channel. Looking for new videos every weekend:)
Thank you so much for you kind words, it much appreciated.

You might try putting a little Vicks under your nose the next time you empty your cassette toilet. Nurses use that trick to keep from smelling something worse.
That’s a great idea, I’ll get some for Owen.
Nice video.....my Dad’s first cousin has lived on St Simon’s Island for at least 40 years.
It’s a beautiful place with great atmosphere, we loved it.
Another great Sunday morning with VTL... Happy Trails
Thanks for spending part of your Sunday with us, it is much appreciated.
First time Ive seen a "Cassette Happy Dance!" Another winning video in the books, Love it!
I wasn’t sure why Owen came out of the bathroom doing his Happy Dance, I guess he was glad to get that job done.
Great music and I love the songs you guys always have!
Thank you so much for sharing your comment.
Good Morning! We have our coffee and now it's time to enjoy the video.
Thank you for spending part of your Sunday morning with us. Have a wonderful week.
Run, Maggie, Run! It is amazing that the tree spirits artwork are still present to this day!
I would have loved to see how the tree spirits have changed over the years, I bet it pretty fascinating. Thanks for watching.
@@VANTREKKINGlifestyle I agree!

It is definitely worth the stop to at least walk around the water front park. The small downtown also look very interesting. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for the video. Looks like you guys had fun. Be safe out there.
You are so welcome and thank you for watching.
Maybe in time the RV parks will add a tall tube in the dump area like they have in Europe to deal with cassette tanks.😀😀
That would be great. I didn’t know they have that in Europe.
Going to sleep and waking up to the sound of waves is heaven for me. Maggie loves the beach 😊. Love your travels
We love the sounds of the waves too. Thanks so much for watching.
Love watching!
Thank you!
Good video and it looks like Maggie found a friend.
I love it when Maggie finds a friend, she walks by a lot of dogs and then for some reason she knows the one she’s going to like. Fun to watch.

take the ferry and check out cumberland island

You could actually see it better from Jekyll than from St Simons. It was pretty amazing and sad.
Great video you two. I to have the life time job of dumping tanks, so don’t feel bad. See ya next week.
Thanks, we each have our jobs... I’m just glad the dumping is not mine. We appreciate you spending part of our Sunday morning with us.
We enjoy watching you adventures every Sunday.

Good morning! Got my coffee, now it's time to watch your next fun adventure!! 🌞☕
Thanks for spending part of your Sunday morning with us... it’s much appreciated.
I'll bet Lynn loved those tree spirits. Keep on going south, Owen. Feeling the need to see some palm trees. Happy Chanukah!
I did love the tree sprits as you know trees make me happy. I’m not sure we’ll see a lot of plan trees this trip. Happy Chanukah to you!

What are 'dem kids doing? Playing.. 😂😂😂. If it's a funny skit you know Owen has made me watch it 100 times.
Oh yeah.... CONGRATS!!! The power and comfort you have coming!! Jealous.
"That's my job forever." Funny.
Yes it is and I’m glad he knows it. Thanks for watching.

Loved the tree spirits. Thinking how old they are. Amazing
I also thought the age they were was also amazing. Thanks so much for watching.
Such a nice video, good job guys
You are so kind

Gascoigne Bluff was a former plantation site where lumber mills along the water shipped wood all over the world. Pronounced GAS-COIN.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing your your travels. We always like to find out about new places to dry camp. You have to hit us up sometime and we can give you a few places in South Carolina 👍
We would love to find some good places to dry camp in SC. Have you ever went to Frances Marion Forest? We wanted to stop there but ran out of time.
Hi to you all. Over the last few years we had traveled to Charleston area and the KOA in Mt. Pleasant is nice. Hi guys, great video. Heading up there next month, wondering where that free spot on St. Simon’s Island was?
It's a beach parking area. Your can find it by using iOverlander app.
Some of the tree spirits need to see a happy dance. They look kind of grumpy. Cassette toilets are efficient and convenient but not for everyone. Maybe a composting toilet should be a consideration. Keep on dancin”.
I thought the same thing about the tree sprits, they all looked sad. I think composting would be a great idea. Thanks for the suggestion.
Did you have permission to park in the beach access
We did not have permission, but there were “no overnight” signs. We did find it on the iOverlander app where others had stated it was an ok place to stay.
It will probably be forbidden in short order because others will abuse the spot
There is a Walmart nearby that forbids overnight parking the manager said people started treating it like a campground and staying for multiple nights
Ya bad idea sharing the overnight spot. By summer there will be 20 campers and soon there after will be no overnight camping signs.
We didn’t share the exact spot but it was on iOverlander so you’re probably right. It’s a fine line. Hope it’s still there when we roll back through.
Did you just park at a condo? did you have to pay to park there through the night?
It was a parking area Publix beach access between 2 condo buildings. It was free.
It seems that “suitcase” of yours just might fit in an overhead bin.
Yes... but I pity the flight attendant that tries to pull that thing down... or the folks sitting in the seat under it. 😂 I’ll let you give it a go next year if you want. Stay safe friends.
Nope. Ain’t gonna happen. I’ll empty the black tank but cassette toilets are man’s work.
I totally agree, no cassette toilets for me.
I hope y'all have found Jesus and the holy spirit!
We found Jesus many many years ago. Thanks for the comment.
