Dilophocon looks straight out of the 90s beast wars toyline rather than a generations figure. So bizarre.
Probably why I love her so much tbh.

Edit: tyranocon rex from the first two pack was also a girl.

I actually met wayne knight and asked him about this set! It was pretty cool! I asked him if He knew they made a figure of Dennis nedry that transformed and he said “I had no idea, there’s alot of merch made of nedry without my knowledge.” But he laughed and seemed thrilled about the idea of a transforming figure of him! Wayne is a really nice guy and I’m honestly so glad I got the privilege to ask him about this!
Dilophocon looks like an upgraded Beast Wars Iguanus, and I absolutely adore that. I really want Dilophocon, but I’m not really interested in Dennis, so I’m not getting this unless it goes on a really good sale.

While Jp is mold locked I wonder if Dilhcon is locked, cause that’s 1 repaint away from legacy iguanas which would be pretty cool

I really like Dilophocon, I like the beast wars looking aesthetic, and she looks like she could be a VERY easy iguanus retool

With these Jurassic Park crossover sets, I’m now kinda curious about how a Transformers/Jurassic Park/World crossover spinoff movie would turn out lol
No matter what, Mattel will always ensure our dinosaur figures will have unpainted toenails even when there crossing over with another company
Honestly I love the idea of two of my favorite things Collab but maybe this collab will open up new ideas for dinosaur transformers specifically the other dinosaur transformers like hardheaded, killer punch , and Saberback we need more dinosaur transformers
If they could retool Dennis's mold to JUST slip under the legal radar, that would be amazing! maybe take the canopy off, make it look ALMOST like a jeep, and boom! Legacy Hound!
I got mine for 50 on Amazon and I’m pretty happy I don’t have a lot of experience with beast wars toys but man dilophocon is so cool I love that figure so much and the Jeep looks so spot on and I like that he has the egg embryo carrier
That blast effect inside the can totally does peg into the blaster on the Jeep
Cool review, but every time you scrape the figure against your table it gives the a nails on chalkboard effect down my back 🫨
if im not mistaking i think dilophocons frills are removable because not everyone wants them in all the time. which is cool but they should have done it a diffrent way.
Could totally turn JP12 into a custom "legacy Movie Universe" Hound, he's chubby, turns into a jeep and yeah that's it, make em green, give em a new head and there ya go.

I'm sad ball joints aren't used anymore much cause sure, they're known for going floppy, but even out the box you can like, make them alot sturdier meanwhile pins you're fucked if they're floppy

So, that explains that Transformer... FROM MATTEL... that is a T-Rex that transform into the Park Jeep.
It looks awful in "T-Rex" mode, but the vehicle is very clean.
I hope you saved that cardboard crate. It makes such a cute little prop
0:29 if you can get the first set at a good price? The deco for the dinosaur mode is incredible. Plus JP-93 itself is a fun little deluxe. With a couple of glaring articulation omissions due to presumably budgetary concerns.
Still a good couple of toys. Worth my time, I felt. Enough to get this set here you’re speaking on.

@thattoyguy, did you forget that universal owns transformers and jurassic park, it doesn't cost them anything for licensing since they commissioned it, hasbro didn't ask to do it.
Paramount owns the license to transformers. Universal bought the rights to use it at their parks. That's also not how it works. Nothing is free, someone has to pay something somewhere

i hope takara makes a premium finish diliphocon. its hasbros crappy paint job of the dilo from 2015.
if beast wars neo gets new figures like triceradon and the others we can expect some jp repaints for them.
id love to see the lost world trailer as a new character where the front is the robot and the back can be a battle station. and it can include a stegosaur transformer.
or the plane from jp3 with a spinosaurus.
I hope we get a jurassic park 2 collab set with the spinosaurus and a t-rex in combat with one another.

I think that the price comes from the Jurassic Park licensing and Jeep license because it’s supposed to be officially licensed

The Dilophocon tail resemble Transmetal Megatron tail.

@@lowriderking68 regardless, a repaint could be any gender. For example, take the T-Rex from the first Jurassic Park collaborative, who is female, but made from the Kingdom Megatron mold.
if they do another release of this mould it would most likely be a retool into beast wars iguanis so it would be slightly different but I guess you can get it that way@@krimsonklaww611

These collaboration sets with Jurassic Park should get me all sorts of happy, but they just fall flat. As a Dinosaur nerd *and* a Transformers fan for something like 30 years, this should be a home run. But God, they just feel so uninspired. The first one the robot mode of ol' Rexy was so bare, and JP93 (God, I hate that name) was just bland and left me feeling nothing.
Now we have a really weird Dilophosaurus that looks like a toy designed 20+ years ago and a jeep that looks pretty good minus the head.
I dunno, man, I just feel like Hasbro is really slacking on these things, and then charging hilarious prices for them.
