In all honesty, I don't mind the scaling for Dilophocon and JP12 in their alt mode. Specifically, Dliophocon's huge size reminds me more of the Dilophosaurus in the Jurassic Park novel.

In regards to the price, you’re paying for two deluxes yes, but you have to factor in that it’s a collaborative figure. The bumped up price goes to the licensing fee Hasbro owes the Jurassic Park label and the Jeep licensers. Is the price worth it? Idk. But it’s ultimately what we have to pay to get stuff like this. So if anyone’s ever wondered why these collab figures cost what they do, besides the G.I. Joe ones (idk why they’re priced the way they are), that’s why. Part of the price goes to the licensing
I can definitely see JP12 being heavily retooled into a Legacy Ironfist. The way the arms are folded underneath the vehicle along with head peeking in between them seems very similar to the G1 Ironfist transformation.
Can get his G1 colors with the tan plastic from Detritus and the neon pink from Legacy Scourge. Perhaps a generations selects for the IDW colors or vice versa.@@Beedo_Sookcool
Actually Dilophosaurus is one of the few Jurassic Park Dinos that did not suffer from the "King Kong Effect," being portrayed a lot smaller in size than the animal actual got to. Dilophocon is actually about the right scale for an adult at 23 ft in length.
In terms of homages, JP12 reminds me of the Alternators Swindle and Dilophocon reminds me of BW Iguanus. I do hope they make an Iguanus and remake the Alternators, even if they are just smaller Legacy type figures with licensed vehicle modes.

Considering how Dilophosaurus fossils suggest the real thing stood at about 9 to 11 feet tall, the scale between these two figures (jeep to dinosaur) is actually pretty accurate.
Transformers fitting inside vehicles that are smaller than they are is no stranger to the franchise, don't worry about it. JP12 clearly just has the same kind of interior as Astrotrain and Jetfire.
oh wow, I was expecting a dinobot repaint but they made a whole new mold, kind of wish it had more paint though mainly in the claws, it kind of looks like the basic mattel figures
I can see that the Dilophocon is an upscaled remolded Vertibreak/Dracodon from Kingdom, while Nedge who I’m calling the JP Jeep is a completely new mold but I think he should’ve been part of the Mercenary faction instead of an Autobot which makes more sense to me
I really hope Dilophicon is used to make an Alligator Megatron and that we eventually get a Bat Optimus Primal as well. Definitely getting this set though.
They'll probably go with Grant for it. I could see the majority of 12 being reused for either an Ellie or Harding (The Vet) based figure for an open top one...possibly with a Trike or brachiosaur one. The three vehicles we don't have covered at all are the InGen Chopper, the Park Loader (As seen in the opening to move the Raptor crate), and the dig site trailer.
Seeing as dilophocon is based off the kingdom vertibreak mold, I believe it was originally intended to be a core class figure, as it would’ve scaled more accurately to the Jeep at that size. But I guess people wouldn’t have liked a Jurassic park crossover being a deluxe-core class 2 pack I guess
Knowing Hasbro, JP12 could be redecoed into jeep wrangler characters like Animated Swindle (not G1 because it would have to force him to make Bruticus)

Instead of making a good possible Hound mold look awful by making it look like Live Action BULKHEAD (that thing looks closer than Prime Bulkhead than any Hound), turn the Legacy Bulkhead into the one mixed with the live action. The beard would look nice there.

After JP I'd like to see power rangers/transformers crossover. would be cool to get some transforming zords with a robot/vehicle/combiner modes for megazord. they already own both licenses so it just makes sense to me
I think it is a very heavy retool of kingdom core class vertebreak, you can especially see it in the transformation just with editional transformation steps
This mold as a G1 bayverse hound would be lit. He's chunky and you could remold the hat into hounds helmet from the movies. Then just pack him with tons of guns.

JP12 gives me huge Alternators vibes, and that's a good thing. and Dilophocon seems like it's pretty heavily based on Vertebreak's engineering. i like both but definitely not for the asking price, hopefully they go on sale like the first JP crossover set
The set finally got marked down to $50, so I finally jumped on it. Got to pay the normal price of 2 deluxe figures. I didn't want to get burned by paying full retail like the first set.. Quite a nice set. You can also use the transparent piece inside the cannister to extend the gun barrel. They didn't put that in the directions for some reason. Can still store the cannister on the back like that as the directions show.
i own the original crossover pack and it was amazing and i only payed £45 for it and the only damage that happened was that tyrannocons tail pincer claw thing idk snapped clean off but i'm waiting on this as i only want the dinosaur as the design for the jp_12 isn't for me so i'm for sales
as a dino nerd, hurassic fan, and transformer fan i had to say i love all of this and i would love to see at least 2 more of this crossover being the raptor decepticon and the open jeep that they put malcom in as an autobot, and a pteranodon decepticon and the arriving helicopter autobot
Dilophocon's transformation looks a lot like a scaled-up Vertebreak, strangely. The tail detaches to become a weapon, the legs basically don't transform, the chest splits open to reveal the arms (with the dino arms hanging off the shoulders) and the robot head flips out, leaving the dino head on its chest.
I put in a pre-order for these and then a few days before release I changed my mind, I just couldn't see the money they cost in the toys. I'm sort of thinking the same about Chuckles and the Crimson Strike Team too who are also way way over priced too.

@@PrimeVsPrime yup and I got those states from the novel, which the novel is a lot more darker since Dennis Nedry gets his stomach cut open by the Dilophosaurus which is a full grown adult but with patterning similar to a leopard and a pair of red V-shaped crests

@@liopleurodonthedinoman3637 you realize an ostrich is pretty much the size of a bear they get like 7 or 8 ft tall and while not weighing a lot are still quite massive meaning yes they would be like an ostrich in terms of build
