He died at the end or got shot and then turned rat because he no longer had anyone he can count on. He killed Chris, drove away Paulie and led him to get closer with NY. Lost both Silvio and Bobby Jr. he had way too many enemies and no friends. When that happens, you are no longer a leader.

You can almost feel your adrenaline kick in at the exact same time his does when he realizes and opens his mouth and licks his lips. He takes a deep breath cause it gets hard to breathe with your adrenaline pumping and the lick lip is a self soothe to calm our brains down. Then the body movement and rapid eye movement followed by looking away to distance himself from the reality he just saw. It looks and feels so real. It's insane acting

He's also smoking a cigar, which dries your mouth out, plus the saliva on the cigar along with its taste sort of sticks to the smoker's lips. It's not at all uncommon to see guys lick their lips a bit while smoking one.

The range he has in his acting is tremendous! Even his non-verbals are top notch. He sold so many conflicting emotions in a few seconds time just on his staring alone. I’ve rewatched this short 4x in a row just to soak in Gandolfii’s craft here. All-of-a-sudden I have a great want to rewatch this entire series again. Truly a guy masterpiece! In this scene Puss makes a comment about how he always flies first class, which prompts Tony to question how Puss can afford such luxuries.Puss responds with a story about how his wife gets him first-class upgrades because she works for the airline. However, his explanation doesn't quite add up to Tony

The main difference in the scene is that there was a stare off at the end here while similarly separated in part Michael was facing away from the guys laughing it up. Here it almost seems like Tony was ready to give him the kiss of death.

The movie is referenced in many university classes about acting, directing, casting, set design and screen play/story telling. Not every movie appeals to everyone so I understand and respect your view point. What mob movies do you like the best? I haven’t watched too much of the Sopranos but look forward to catching up.
