I have been listening to your podcast in the car, and loving it. It's really opening up the world of EVs for me. Can't wait to get one. Saying that a friend picked up her KIA EV6 today and she came round and I took it for a drive, which I shouldn't have done, now I want one more. It was bloody fantastic, so good to drive. I've got a Toaureg TDi 180kw which I love, but the EV6 felt quicker and lighter, just lovely.

For car journos and I.T. Specialists EV’s may be an option. For my wife………nope.
If every second pensioner in Brisbane can figure out a Tesla, I think your wife will be fine.

For range anxiety just buy a Tesla. It’s like the android\ iOS ease of use\ ecosystem battle all over again, except that legacy auto is totally out of its depth with software development.
Not sure what people complain about the fake sounds in the Hyundai. Most performance ice vehicles nowadays have fake sound pumped into the cabin.
