I'm a big fan of the ddrum triggers, I haven't tried the Elites yet, but everything else have been top notch. Great playing on that intro!
Perfect timing on this video! Trying to get a read on which triggers to use for a hybrid setup. Thanks Justin!
I’ve been waiting for A good review of this trigger and finally got it 🤘🏻👍🏻
Yo 65Drums, Just found your second channel through the link in the description.🤣
Drums and History are two of my favorite things...Good Luck 🙏🏻
Holy crap man, that intro groove is the coolest thing I've heard all week. Your dedication sure is paying off. This should be on your demo vid reel, because you never know, someone like BT may be auditioning for touring musicians (side note: I did notice that the drum sounds here were quite good, too).
For me the perfect setup is: Internal sensors for snare cause is the most dynamic part of the drums and for tom and kick you can just pretty much use any side mounted triggers
Internal sensors for the snare are a must have for me too. I've tried so many clip on triggers. And while they do the job, you can 100% tell a difference between them, and nice internal triggers for snare work
@@65Drums You know your stuff keep up the good work love your channel 💙🔥
@@65Drums which internal drum trigger would you recommend ?
Cool review! Thanks.
awesome, sir, thanks!
Hey man, great channel! I have a quick question for you….is it possible to install these triggers and connect them directly to a Tascam audio interface to pick up the signal and then replace these signals with a virtual drums software like ezedrummer or cubase groove agent? Thanks for your help!

Almost 90k!❤
Yes pretty close! :)
Thanks a lot, before this i didn't even know internal ones existed!
The xlr connection stops it shaking the soldered wire joints when the heavy lead end rattles the bolt on the jack loose. I just gave up with my electric drums and ironically now I own a ddrum acoustic kit, which I've got nothing but great things to say about it! Having said that, boss and Roland are the same thing and I still own the original boss ds1 distortion pedal and it has never skipped a beat, either has any boss product I've owned or known of and they are considered the benchmark in quality and innovation and have always been that way.
Algo bump early comment. Keep the vidz coming Justin, awesome work.👍
Thanks!
Great review! I actually got my used set of chrome elite triggers today. Planning on using them for a A2E conversion with Realfeel mesh heads.
Nice! Would love to hear how it goes!
How have they been. Im thinking of using them
@@Dnowak101 They have worked OK I think. Didn't get the kick trigger to work as I wanted so I bought the Footblaster.
@@martandersen9312 Alright that helps a lot
Do you know if the chrome elite triggers will work with rubber hoop protectors? Thanks!
Great I’m getting the snare one for church the sound peeps couldn’t get me a good rim shot but will solve this wasily
Curious why you gave the Yamaha trigger a red X. Thought those were pretty good quality.
Hey, can you test the Millenium MPS 1000? Its a new fullshell E-Drumkit under 1000€
I'm really curious how it performs :)
I just bought one of the Roland ones purely because I’ve been playing Roland drums for years never thought of these I must admit .
works ok ish can’t say I’m over impressed with it but it’ll do the job as I just wanna fire a second sound on a few songs occasionally.
Great review Justin thanks 👍
I bought one too. RT-30 for snare. Really not that impressed. Currently not using it.
I have a Roland RT10s and RT30HR, I'm getting similar results with the ddrum with the right settings. Had to fiddle with it for a while though
Hey man your link to 2500 drum set in the description is broken. I wanted to see your recommendation for that price because I’m comparing that to a efnote 5. Thanks!
Would you recommend the Alesis command x? It's on sail for $629.99 right now at guitar center
Yo what’s your opinion on the mps 1000? Looks too good to be true for £830
the shot at 2:34 was really amazing (as well as the rest of the review)
Thanks! I spend a lot of time on the b-roll
The rt30 isnt cheap either. You could buy almost 3 Convertible Percussions internal triggers for price of one Rt30. And they work better too. Ive had both.
You've never done a video on the Nord drum 3p???
Hey Justin, i hope you are doing great. I have recently bought a Roland TD17kvx drumset after watching your in dept video.
Is there any way to output sound from the module to any sound bar system for example sony sound bars ?
Headphones or an amp designed for E-Drums is your best bet, I’ve been using $10 earbuds and they work great for some reason. I have $300 In-Ears and $600 headphones and my $10 earbuds work best. But I also have my drum module going into a mixer, nothing fancy but the 7band eq on the mixer really helps!
@@ryanbuckley5529 I'm already using audio technical studio headphone for silent practicing. Sometimes I feel to have a big louder inside the whole room. Thats the reason I asked whether by any chance I can connect vdrums to sound bar.
Thanks for your comment
@@johnstone4936 the frequencies will wreck the sound bar
@@ryanbuckley5529 hahaha normal vdrums amp has 300 -600 watts. Many sound bars are also found on this range. My question is regarding the possibility of connectivity.
@@johnstone4936 I don’t know why your laughing, watts have absolutely nothing to do with frequencies... watts is the amount of power the speaker can handle. Two very different things.
In the last 6 months, your drumming has improved heaps your groves are very funky what have you changed?
I've been practicing to a metronome a lot more, and I've been listening to funk music :)
@@65Drums metronome ftw!
...and where is the internal trigger link?
One of the reasons i don't like ddrum triggers is the fact it uses xlr inputs and most drum modules use cable snakes so its just not practical so i stick with my roland rt30s.
I've heard of guys using a clip on triggers instead of micing, but personally have never actually heard nor seen it. I'd like to find an example of it on UA-cam.
66Samus has lots of videos like that. Just google "triggered acoustic drums" and you'll see lots of results
@@65Drums thanks 😊
@@65Drums Thanks so much for the info. I've been watching your channel since I began restoring and refurbing my late '80s kit of Simmons, Alesis and Roland equipment and I've learned a lot and I appreciate all the info that you've posted. Of course the reason I was interested in knowing about triggering acoustic drums is because I have a beautiful & rather expensive set of Pearl MCXs, which I am loathe to cover up the sound quality of a 6ply Maple kit, but would use clip on triggers for PA mains output and acoustic for stage presence. As you've so aptly said, don't use an expensive kit for a full-on conversion.
Does anyone know where I can get the slotted L brackets to make a homemade trigger? I can't find them anywhere. Thanks
Just go to some metal fabricators and get em made yourself, if you have to! It would cost just the same as anything else of similar quality and you can get it custom made to whatever spec you want. Having said that, have ya seen that new Yamaha Md?? Thing they made a couple years back!?!? It looks pretty amazing and if it does what they claim (and being Yamaha, I don't doubt it!!!) Wow, Yamaha already lead in acoustic kits so why not be the best at both like ddrum tried to and failed miserably!?
@@jeremyrobertson7267 Hey.. thanks very much for that. I did end up finding some from a hardware store I forgot about. So I ordered 15 or so. This will be a hobby project for the future.
No not familiar with the Yamaha.

Eh all good man. Nice videos you make , you helped me choose my drumkit (td17 kv with paiste ride cymball)
