Thankyou Tom Terrific ,,for putting together all this great Aus rock , great to hear many of the band's I saw/heard through the mid/late 60,s ! Well done
Great to see this. Brings back lots of memories. I was in a band in the sixties and we did a tour with the RJSS in 1966. Boy, that Andy was a wild character. The guitarist was Doug Ford prior to his days in the Masters' Apprentices. Thanks for posting. 5***** Cheers Ferdy
Running Jumping Standing Still's records were next to impossible to get here in the States (so were those of the La De Das, Johnny O'Keefe, Masters Apprentices, Little Pattie, etc. But that's a different story.....). But I persisted and managed to get copies of both of their 45s on Sunshine, including this first rate version of Diddy Wah Diddy (which the Remains also cut here for Epic). Theirs is a brief but enduring legacy of first rate first generation garage rock.
Bad miming aside, this song rocks! I like it much better than the beefheart. It's a shame it wasn't a hit. Andy James is my hero. I want my hair to look like that!
I was there for the taping. I remember it well!

That is the most awesome hair ever!
awesome, love the hair, I didn't know that Andy was a singer, he was a great actor, one of Australia's best i think.
He's a kiwi and even i didn't knowhe was in this band lol.
@@keithmurch7062 A Kiwi ???? That explains a lot !!!!
Our very own MC5
As one who saw the MC5 live, I think RJSS could have given them a run for their money. Both great.
@innovoneil thanks .I knew I'd seen him before somewhere!

Andy , not the Original Singer , was Peter Newing
jennique best ever
Esta cancion es realmente de ellos ?? o es una version ??
The singer, Andy James became an actor and was in ...ahem... the Bob Morrison Show. Haha
They're not bad musos !
diddy wah diddy bo diddley song
sonicrock2 . I was wondering. Still an excellent cover. Often covers get crapped up.
@@TheReevessss Originally, yes. But here, RJSS is drawing from the versions by Captain Beefheart And His Magic Band and the Remains. All great.
This is bloody awful.
Umskiddy . Open your ears! Bo didley would be pleased I think.
you are a dumb fuck
