"Thirteen Women (And Only One Man in Town)" was originally done by Bill Haley & His Comets as the B side to "Rock Around the Clock". Kim Brown & the Renegades gave this song a British Invasion treatment. Great version. R.I.P. Kim Brown
These guys was a Brtitish band who moved to Finland and made a career as popstars in the mid 60's. They got a big hit with Cadillac and later also 13 Women.
+flavio Barsotti ......... NOT ONLY PUNK, BUT "ACID" ONE ...... IF IS LIKE YOU SAY IT, WHAT IS THE SAME PERIOD'S PSYCHEDELIC MUSIC ?!?!? OF COURSE EVERYTHING IS "ON ROCK 'N ROLL", AND ROCK 'N' ROLL IS "ON" THE "12 METER" BLUES !!!!! .... SO, WHAT ?
Good CRANK IT UP raw rock n' roll and probably the 1st head banging on video. So many great songs and real bands then. I had this 45 and I think it was from Finland.
@sunrawb It is '66, most of the Scandinavian bands of '65/'66 wore extremely long hair ala The Pretty Things (tho' the Renegades were UK ex-pats based in Finland). By '67 they all started going for shorter mod style haircuts. Lots of Dutch bands were also notorious for freakishly long hair very early on. These Continental bands also tended to specialize in cruder, savage sounding records like this!
The Renegades - 13 women I couldnt find anything anywhere....there were/are so many bands with the name renegades. I all i want is to buy their album but its fucking impossible.
13 Women was released in 1954 by Bill Haley and the Comets, but it was Rock Around the Clock, the flip side that made history. The Renegades really rocked up this tune!
Is this the same version as the record? They don't do the last verse here, but I'm pretty sure they did on the version that was comped on What A Way To Die.
The Renegades, Blue Cheer and Swamp Rats are all real killer bands against which most contemporary groups have absolutely no footing at all. I just don't get it. The reason why I collect early punk is because to me it has an incredible charisma and youthful vigor.. emulations of the genre just seem to be weak.

Actually, 13 Women was the original A-side for Bill Haley!!
The BEST and complete version of this song on UA-cam!
Absolutely smokin. Thanks for making this video reappear. One of my all time favorites.
Brilliant British Band! Kickin' Ass!
Geez, even for 1966 their hair was so long. Dig the military uniforms they're wearing too.

Crazy stuff. This was filmed in Finland, they were huge over here.
This was long before MTV and music videos. I have not seen this one before, and it is now a favorite, even with Kim's crazy looks.
PUNK IN THE 60'S ? OH COME ON, THATS PURE ROCK AND ROLL
+flavio Barsotti ......... NOT ONLY PUNK, BUT "ACID" ONE ...... IF IS LIKE YOU SAY IT, WHAT IS THE SAME PERIOD'S PSYCHEDELIC MUSIC ?!?!? OF COURSE EVERYTHING IS "ON ROCK 'N ROLL", AND ROCK 'N' ROLL IS "ON" THE "12 METER" BLUES !!!!! .... SO, WHAT ?

I love this video to death, but I do wish the women were better actresses at the end of the video or they cut it out a little earlier.
What are you talking about??? A lot of bands from the late sixties rocked.
