My son did this walk with his school chums and teachers when he was fifteen years old and has his black tie with candle motive to prove it and now this week 28/6/ 2022, my son who is now fifty four years old and his friend walked and completed the Lyke Wake. I am in awe of them both after watching this video!
Did this several times in the late 60s. The first time I gave up at Clay bank because the second hand boots I had were held together with wire which gradually began to bite into my feet. Fastest time I did was around 12 hours.
I love the NYM and did the LWW a few times back in the 80's. Thanks for taking me back and bringing my memories to life again.
So excited to see the next instalment. I'm on the edge of my seat
Great scenery!
