  • Turn Signal Relay Modification for Vstar
This is a great modification for those who want to upgrade to LED turn signals with out the hassle of loosing their self-cancelling feature.
This idea was brought to life by a Canadian gentleman, I found it somewhere in the net and wanted to make a video for illustrating purposes

where can you get the resistor that you use to put in the relay and does have a part no. having problems with signals both flashing the same time left or right

I only have the front turn signals as led with the rear being factory ones, what do you think the resistance value would need to be? .16 ohms 2w? Next year I plan on putting leds in the rear. Thanks.

I’d like to know the size of the resistor

    Works perfectly!
Just did this on a 2000 XVS 650

On a Road Star 1600 with a DENSO FE246BH relay ... Trying to retain self cancel indicators ... Any ideas on whether this would work?

.33ohm 2 watt. go back to the beginning of the video where he lists materials/tools needed!

Great info , and YES is exactly the same flasher for a Yamaha royal star ( 2nd generation) , but with the .33 ohms resistor still too fast … gonna try different values , I wish I can get a variable resistor on that range

My auto cancel still works, and I have led lights. Yes I have the fast flash issues.

will this fix the all of them blinking when you turned them on? if so what is the resistor and where do i buy one?

Disconnect the indicator bulb in the speedo ...
Later on you can as a resistor to that one if you want to keep it

+maustarman it worked perfect thank you!!! I wonder if you put an led bulb in the indicator of that will change this
