    I just installed, setup and tested mine. Very happy so far. Just need to get on the bike once this rain stops.
    I thought I'd watch a few more videos on it and founds yours.
    Great video mate. I was pretty sure but, now convinced that I made a good choice.

    Just ordered a single kit 4X for my HJC 90S Carbon. I hope no regrets. They are not cheap. Thank you for this video. Very helpful.

    Thanks for the video. I’m trying to decide if the 4x system is right for me. My wife and I prefer ear buds so I’m thankful that you pointed out the 3.5 mm jack connection. Also, can the passenger listen to music from their own phone? Thanks!

      hi there, yes, each rider can listen to their own music while riding and talking to other connected riders at the same time.

    Good vid bloke and I Ike the use of the second microphone for quality comparison real time. Cardio seem to be streets ahead of Sena at a better price point here in Oz. I haven’t been able to find any literature though on whether the Freecom 4X headphone is noise cancelling. I note the Sena 10 series is NC and wonder why Cardo hasn’t also gone down the same path. Question: as I am an anti-social Nigel no-friends who predominately rides alone, is there enough tech in the Freecom 4X to keep me happy rather than up-spending to the Cardo Packtalk Edge? Mesh is fine and all but not a big consideration considering my riding characteristics. Anyway good job on the vid and go the Wallabies and the Roos.

      Hey, thanks for your message.
      No, if you aren't going to connect to other riders to talk, then i see no need to go for the PT Edge. Hell, a Spirit HD would suffice. but the Freecom X2 is all good.

  • @michaelglenn2468

    So unless youre riding with large groups , the Packtalk Edge is overkill, right?

    • @MotoNZ

      Yep that would be a fair call.

    • @MotoNZ
      @MotoNZ  2 роки тому

      Hey Kevin.
      connection is pretty quick, and reconnection if you drop out of range is awesome.
      the app also makes like easy.

      @@MotoNZ Hi, thanks for this. I just used the Freecom 4x for 5 days connected to a Cardo bold, and reconnection wass often automatic, seeming to negate the need for a mesh system.

    Hey dudes. I want to ask about an option called "audio multitasking". Have you ever try to communicate with pasenger while playing music or radio?
    I mean, we have 2 units in 2 helmets at same motorcycle. Driver and passenger, we listen music and someone say something. What happened in this case? Is the volume of music going down and when dialogue end music come on? And all of this being automatically without pushing button or give voice command.
    What set can do this? 2x? 4x? Or any cheaper?
    Thank u

    • @MotoNZ
      @MotoNZ  Рік тому +1

      Hi there,
      Thanks for your question.
      The X2 and x4 will do multitasking.
      It's exactly as you have said, both listening to their own music and the music level drops when someone says something... you have control in the app as to how much the audio level drops and mic sensitivity.
      its pretty good, I've used it on long rides in groups and with just 1 other rider.

      They’re a tight fit. But with a bit of wiggling I got them through. Mainly it’s the headphone socket that has trouble.

    I just got the Cardo Freedom 4x Duo. My question is can I pair both units to the same phone? I changed the name of the first one I was hoping to do the same to the 2nd one, but it doesn't pair. I was hoping to use them for two different bikes on the same phone.

    One question for you. On the Revzilla review of this unit they said the 4X could also interact with Android and iPhone OS query interfaces; "Hello Siri", "Ok Google" etc., all through the "Natural Voice" technology. However, the Revzilla review is the only place I've ever heard this, and so far I've listened to several user reviews for this product, and no one else has mentioned this. I would consider this a very important feature, so I'm wondering why no one else has mentioned it.
    What's your experience with this? Can this unit communicate directly with Google and Siri, or does "Natural Voice" only interact with the Cardo App?
    If you can take a moment to address this, I'd be grateful.
    Thanks!

    • @MotoNZ
      @MotoNZ  2 роки тому +1

      hi there, good question.
      yes the 4x has "Natural voice" control and on the likes of the Packtalk Bold its literally a matter of saying "hey Siri"
      I've not managed to get the 4x to work with this command, but there is a button to push to activate siri, and then you can get her to do pretty much anything from calling or texting someone to playing a certain playlist from your spotify account.

      I’ve recently purchased the 4x duo set and can confirm that you can call up Siri with a simple “Hey Siri” which is really useful when riding.
      Hope that helps!

    what do you think about audio quality after 140kmh? is it clear? we can communicate clearly?

    • @MotoNZ
      @MotoNZ  Рік тому +2

      I couldn’t comment on audio quality at that speed as our national speed limit is 100kph.
      The thing that’s going to make it difficult though is wind noise in your helmet, the audio from the device is really good.

    If you have an overly low voice it will not detect you. If your voice is high or female should be ok. My wife and daughter can activate mine with no problem. My bass voice, nope. Spoke to someone at cardo about this. Not sure if they will get out an update or not. Good luck.

    If you are ok with spending $829 Australian for a device you can use to listen to music and take phone calls while riding? The Cardo Freecom 4x is for you.
    If you want to talk to your rider's mates on the other hand? Don't buy it!
    Constant dropouts. And I mean every third word!
    But that is not the worst of it. Here in Australia at least, the after-sales service is non-existent!
    After wrestling with the Rep for a week for help, who by the way sounded like he had the technical knowledge of a peanut, they took my units for testing, which were returned a week later and a note saying "You probably are in a bad mobile reception area" and that "the units were fine" That's right! that is what he told me!

    • @MotoNZ
      @MotoNZ  Місяць тому +1

      That’s a cop out. They don’t use cell signal to talk between units.
      Please tell me $829 is for 2 units?!

      @ARoadLessRidden Місяць тому

      @@MotoNZ Tell me about it. Yeah it's the Duo pack.
      But what I am kicking myself about, is the fact that I could've bought the same units on ebay for nearly half that price. However, I talked myself into buying it from a physical retailer because I wanted the after-sale service!
      Learned that lesson the hard way, I guess!

      @@MotoNZ I have no reason to say anything bad just for fun. But this device it's not that who i expect for this money. For example the app of cardo can't find the freecom, the freecom is connected by bluetooth in phone. Can't connect with other riders bluetooth. And for the last if you want to connect with other 3 riders just forget it. That's all.

    • @paulneedham9885
      @paulneedham9885 7 місяців тому

      @@mixalisgilmaybe you should have read the specs first then. You would have know it uses Bluetooth to your phone. Mine, like all I've seen online works perfectly as advertised. Highly recommended

      @@mixalisgil I had exactly the same issue. Constant dropouts between units. Even after resetting to factory settings, and doing software updates. And now, the Cardo App does not even recognise my unit. Worst of all though is that here in Australia at least, the after-sale support is non-existent.
