About:
Nike is betting big on the Air Zoom Pegasus Premium, a sneaker packed with cutting-edge tech, including the world’s first sculpted Air Zoom unit and a triple stack of Nike’s top cushioning foams. With their stock struggling and critics calling them out for a lack of innovation, this shoe needs to be a hit.
I put them to the test-running, working out, and wearing them casually-to see if they truly deliver. Are they worth the $210 price tag, or is the Pegasus 41 still the better everyday sneaker? And more importantly… will they replace my Adidas Evo SL?
don’t use the vapor or Alphafly as daily running shoes. They’re meant to be racing shoes, save your money and go with a regular Pegasus
Sure...
I mean…you COULD. But not ideal, esepcially for foot health. Regular Peg is the way.
@@ax23xralso if you use them for daily running, You better be going fast too.
I'll wait for Alpha Fly 4 . I run 6 8 miles but not everyday
Regular Pegasus is walking shoe only for me. I would never pair it with a race shoe.
Its like a modern AirMax 97
Yoooooo you’re so correct
Can never tell if my guy is 25 or 45.
😂
He puts on a fake American accent, when he was born and grown up in England lol. He acts like a 15 year old
@@alfiegrove7233I’ve never understood what that’s all about
@@gsleeroy I think the only “logical” reasoning is that he wants to trick impressionable children from America to watch and relate to him maybe??? But it just sounds so so weird and cringe, I thought maybe he went to a international school but nope he just willingly puts on a fake accent in every single video….
@@alfiegrove7233they’re both from South Africa…
As a runner I only ever do my long training runs in invincible run 3’s. I’ve got Alphaflys for long distance racing and tempo next % for faster training sessions..I’d only ever wear these as fashion trainers for walking about in.
nobody cares
That’s why these boys are legit. Don’t just jump on the new hype and give honest assessments
Question 🙋🏻♂️… do they make a heel-strike noise at every footstep or are they silent at the heel-strike?
I've been watching both of you guys for years i got to your brother for world news and i come here to get caught up on everything sneaker related. Happy to see the success you guys are having in the content world.
and we go to your channel for Dior bags🛸
If the Pegasus Premium is heavy, expensive, narrow and unstable, I would not buy it. Otherwise, it looks pretty cool definitely something I'd wear casually.
I am gonna wait for these to hit the outlets lol. They look comfy as hell
Look comfy?
They are, remember they're full length ZOOM!!!
Outlets?!? They sold out unless you wait for more colorways.
@@sallamf.6522lmao dog thought these were bs… sneakers have changed over to runners now!
They are sold out
Adidas evo takes the W all day!
It is a really good shoe
So mad these sold out so quickly. Really wanted to try them but didn't know they released yesterday
other colors are coming out black is next
women sizing is still avaiable. i took w12 because men was out
Super high stack, very heavy, narrow, inflexible. Not a serious running shoe. A fashion/lifestyle shoe. Which is fine.
this is a travel/ airport shoe. fashionable, comfortable, kind of a do it all shoe when you can only bring a pair with you
actually, it is a serious running shoe. It's meant for people who race with Alphaflys.
@@daniaaalI perhaps overstated my position.
It might be a legitimate choice as a trainer for some runners: those who race in AF3s, and/or are committed to Nike Running as a brand or are just Nike fanboys, or have used the Peg and/or Vomero etc. as their daily trainers for years and thus find this shoe appealing because it promises to provide a different but similar feel.
I've never run in Nike but I know there are a lot of such runners.
I do think that for many runners, myself included, who don't have such prior history or commitments, it is a hard shoe to take seriously as a trainer, especially at the price.
And I do think that many more of the people who buy it will buy it as a sneaker than as a trainer.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
I’m more of a Nike guy, but those Adidas looks so much better!
Honestly, I just like the fact that they don't look like your dad will wear them
Mine just arrived today, can’t wait to try them out. Glad I picked up a pair. The general release isn’t until MArch!
What's the pocket sweatshirt he has on?
Great video!!
How would this hold up as a general gym shoe?
Looks like a 2025 version of zoom all out...plus everyday plush cushion.
I had the all outs til the air bubbled up..the fibers gave out..thus..buuble..
That was a good walking gym and running shoes.
Looking forward to this.
:)
I still have mine. Very good shoe
Will that clear orange stripe split and lose air ?
Comparing total opposite shoes in here. One is a max cushion shoe and the other is meant for faster, tempo runs. They are for different needs and can't really be compared to be honest
Hi, which walking/running pad is that?
You should do an every day sock review. I have always bought the cheapest thing I can but you always have on different socks. Just a video idea that would help people choose socks to pair with shoes.
they can make the most confortable shoe ever, the problem is that the outsole is rubbish and will be slick in 3months. they should partner with Vibram or else on every shoes (not just the trails) to get things right.
Not including Hoka or OC in any modern sneaker review that compares comfort is a major fail.
Pegasus Plus is better IMO. Premium looks great. Like a Zoom all out and a Pegasus combined.
Comparing these to alphafly/vaporfly is incorrect. Those are both racing shoes. Specifically made for 10k upwards ideally half marathon and marathon. Streakflys are nikes 5/10k racing shoes. And pegasus are training shoes
Ngl chat these have potential in different colourways and a cheaper price, thanks mrpedo man
The Hoka Clifton 9 has to be the best running shoe Ive ever worn but would love to give these a try!
Waiting till March for the black colorway.
Im sorry but what are those Orange High tops at the back called? They look really sick!
Nice video, brother 👍🏾 they look good
Looking to get back into running at the gym usually do 5k on the treadmills my running shoes were Brooks Ghost, is there something better?
I’ve been waiting on this release 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I seen the full black😮!!! Deadly!!!!
Yeah with that red air unit🔥
deffinitely copping these, just waiting for a more lowkey colorway
If you are NOT a serious runner and are either new to running or a hobby jogger DO NOT get a pair of Vaporflys or Alphaflys as a daily shoe!!
They are meant specifically as a race shoe or a lot of runners use them as a training flat for faster paced workouts.
A good daily Nike shoe would be the Nike Vomero 17 or the Nike Pegasus 41!
Vapor and alpha are race day only, will fucking disintegrate after 200 miles. This Pegasus is an everyday trainer.
I need a pair of casual every day gym/walking shoes but i also like going for runs not super serious but like long distance and sprints so do you think this shoe could fulfill all of my requirements?
Thanks for the video!
I went to buy a pair yesterday for the same reason - I had 2 knee surgeries ... these are super bouncy on the heal and it varies across the sole... I decided to give these a miss due to the randomness of the bounce and support - just got another pair of invincible 3s
You should try Adizero Adios Pro Evo 1
Got me a pair of rivalflys and they have been good to me
Does the New Balance More still have the most cushion on a shoe?
NB Mv5 44mm < Peg Premium 45mm
After years running in Altra I can never go back to such narrow forefoot shoes
This is one of Nike's best designs but is way too overpriced. Nike thinks it can compete with Brooks Glycerin Max, which costs $200.
This should have been around $165.
When is the restock
Got them yesterday and got hit with the order cancelled email this morning 😢
No way🤯
Also happend to me… first they were delayed, now they cancelled it.
I'm looking for a daily life style for high step counts, and am between the Pegasus premium, New balance 9060, and the ultra boost 5x. Recommendations?
i would go for the pegasus premium, but that only because i don;t have them. the NB 9060 are great and they look good. i love them (i have them), i had the ultraboost 1, and i don;t really like the 5;s. but now depends on taste.
I will be getting those tomorrow!!!!
Never tried any 990v3 - 990v6 New Balances? 1080v13 or v14? Etc. Should try something apart from Nike or Adidas if you’re looking for the most comfortable casual shoes.
Tried em all
@ word? I’ve never seen anything but Nike and Adidas showcased.
id go with the evo over this also
210$ is just insane
These are lifestyle shoes. They’re way too heavy to be that expensive for actual training. The Zoom Next% Tempo were way better than these and were way cheaper but like Nike always does, they forget their best products for “innovation”. I’m not buying these until they hit outlets. You’d be better off with the Zoom Fly 6 for training.
You ran in them?
@@CorGP No, but I’ve ran in Air Max my whole life. I’ve popped my fair share of air bubbles. I’ve also ran in the predecessor of this shoe, the Zoom All Out, over 10 years ago. At 325g and $210 if this is your first choice for a training shoe, god bless you. The stack is way too high, it’s going to be unstable. That was the same issue with the All Out. There’s 0 reason to buy this over the Zoom Fly 6 for running.
@ so you should give it a try.
Hey Elliot, which brand of socks are you wearing with this shoe?
Sold out fast af. Gonna wait for a dusty cactus colorway 🔥
really not worth it, because is a price for tech that is on par with a foam from Adidas at 130 USD... maybe at 150 could be interesting at most, but is a hard pass
Where is his sweater from
Too bad they're sold out, and I can't even find one.
*Nike, you're too expensive for ordinary people for good pairs.*
Wait till the gore tex version price hits
Asics nimbus 27 my friend
Best shoe ever made
Dope video! I don't really run much/at all, aside from Basketball haha. Nike's price tags can be tough for sure, but been used to that for awhile with their Basketball line.
Curious question, would you say although these feel heavier, do they feel light when they run? I get that doesn't make much sense, but in Basketball you can have a light shoe that may feel heavy, or vice versa mostly due to heel to toe transition, or in terms of how the weight is spread throughout out a shoe (such as it being bottom heavy.)
I'll get the UB 5X for that price
But I love my Invincible 3´s.. Cant imagine anything being better 🤣 These do look nicer though
My exact situation too. I daily the invincible 3's and the only thing I've worn that are more comfortable are (certain specific) yeezys. Can't beat the 3's.
I'm ready to replace them any day but I'm holding off because WHAT could be better? Waiting to see what 2025 drops.
@ haha the only thing I don’t like about the invincible 3’s is the foam looks creased as shit 😂😂 ASICS 1130 are also really comfortable as just a lifestyle shoe if you haven’t tried those out I highly recommend 👌🏻
I have a love-hate relationship with the Invincible 3. Love the midsole and the looks, hate the upper. It's overly stiff and rigid, very snug in the midfoot and that plasticky feeling. But that pillowy, marshmallowy ZoomX though..
@@mrne1433 really? For me I don’t notice that with the upper at all, it feels like I have nothing on my feet. It’s texture to the touch is weird but on my feet it feels breathable and snug, gets no complaints from me
@ I have very wide feet so it could be that. I like the upper on the Pegasus though, which is more stretchy and wraps around my foot more nicely. Also, the new Vomero 18, Vomero Plus and Vomero Premium should be coming out later this year and they look very promising. Not sure if you know this, but the Vomero Plus would be replacing the Invincible from now on
Look pretty good but you won’t catch me ever paying retail
Are European sizes different? Every other review I've seen say these fit snug and you should half size up...
I have been asking nike on and off for years to do something like this, and when they showed it off year so ago I been like hurry up.
This first drop was only nike direct dicks showed them but never show available day of drop and only the white orange first next the black red and not sure if anyones going to have them.
Really hope they do this with GTX and like the Pegasus trail 4 GTX. The Pegasus trail 4 GTX has a better way helping putt them on and the flexible sock kind of thing really like and liked it better than the new 5 version too small. The hook can use for putting them on feet on the 4s they are better than the 5s.
Nike just mixing up their midsoles to be "innovative" but all the customers really wants are the retros to be comfortable with the same look. Hell id wear AJ1s and AM90s everyday if theyre comfy.
I can wear AJ1s all day and find them comfy af weirdly enough
Nike is just showing off its technology.
ON cloud tilt is the ticket!
I really like the look of ON shoes but everywhere i go hear them squeaking. It’s so annoying
Not a good running shoe, not a good walking shoe. Too heavy for running, too narrow and unstable for both running and walking (especially for walking). This is a lifestyle shoe that people with money to burn will get simply because there's a swoosh on it.
You ran in them? I’ve been hearing otherwise from a few running snobs.
Ill wait until there are multiple colorways to choose from - but they do look good ngl
Where can I buy this sweater
Airmax or Zoom toe box?
Nope!
Bro dem shoes is look Zeke!
Nike was big but now kids are not really buying $250-$300 shoes anymore Nike is not big no more
They make these in black im in!
I love my Adidas Evo's
Hope new color waves released soon
these dont look new. infact they look just like 2014 Air Max. I think the only thingbthat can get Nike back on the top step is to stop all this hypetrain target marketing, that only gonna make the disdain worse, and just put the genuine love into the product again like it was the 80s or 90s
bro, just since i seen the comparison chart, pegasus is by far the best desgined running shoes, and also by far i mean extremely far the worst running shoes with very low quality material (especially insoles)
Airmax dn8 someone count the holes on the side of an ON sneakers. Nike made them bubbles tho!
yeah sneaker is great for these pair not running shoes
I don’t really care about nike anymore p, they’re ancient
No carbon fiber no race tbh
Nike makes bank selling junk. High margins. Cheaply made. Terrible cushion. But high look appeal that sells and dominates the market.
No thanks. I'll stick to my memory foam Skechers or highly designed OnCloud.
Just wait for the Vomero premiums 🤯
Love my Vomero 5. Got 3 pairs 🔥
@ love my Vomero 5s too - but I’m most looking forward to the Vomero Premiums coming out later this year. Nike’s new super stack max comfort design - they look crazy.
Sitting 🦆🦆🦆
The Nikes are a dope shoe but 210 is a tad much
Dont call me Shirley !
Cha-ching! Very pricey for a lifestyle shoe.
I love how you brother is almost an exact copy of you😂 voice and everything!
The question is how much?? If the pair cost you several thousands of dollars 💵, then obviously well over priced!!😂😂
No they didn't clear answer
So these running shoes its not for runner because of weight, right ?
Weight, stability, cushion, energy return etc. It's more of a lifestyle shoe.
you keep talking about dollars, aren't you in the uk???
Air max 97 - 2025
thought I should mention this thumbnail made me click without thinking, usually they don't (no offense)
210 buckaroos?!
$220 🤔... Zoom technology is incredibly comfortable on feet but; The real question here is durability, I've had Nikes with "exposed" Zoom technology (Kd8) and the zoom bubble tends to collapse in a short amount of time, especially on running shoes that go through a lot of stress.
