Buddy, you're so close to 100K, I'm excited for you!
So close!
I'm going to look for these delicate surface masking tapes. Thanks for the video.
And 100k subs is happening.
Thanks for the testing! I used to use Frog Tape yellow but unfortunately when I put too much layers of paint and tape, bad things happen. LOL I've never used that specific 3M tape, now I have to find one locally. Anyway I've been using the Duplicolor Sandable Primer since 2010 and it's been solid either direct from can or decanted and thinned with lacquer thinner. All my painted kits with this primer are still good.
Great video Robert, keep em coming I'll keep watching.
Got my paints ordered! Thanks for all you do Robert, you are an awesome inspiration. Do a yellow, but forget about naming it banana wahtever. Call it Loud Lemon! Goes with your fruit line, and your heavy metal music!
Lemon is a good one
I've been using Frog Tape - I get it at Lowes if that helps anyone. Great video ! 👍
Congratulations, keep up the good work! 👍
Hi, from Turkiye...
Hello my friend 👋
You're almost there! Let's go, dude!
Let's go 😀
For the tape is the thickness important
Yes, these are pretty thin
You are almost there excited for you
Me too! So close
Thanks again for the testing
Getting really close now.
So close
BackaddaBenchhh! Is your primer solvent based? Can it be sanded?
Yes and yes
Rex, the Frog tape glue is activated by water. It says on the instructions that it absorbs water from latex paint applied with a brush or roller to seal the edge and prevent bleed-under. In modeling we don't always use water-based paint, so I wipe it with a damp cloth to activate the glue. Then spray over that with an airbrush. You are also supposed to remove the tape immediately after applying paint, but I'm not sure what the working time is. I've never had a problem using it on a model.
Thanks Rex, I need some tape and I'm going to Wally World tomorrow... I use that Dupla-Color primer all the time from Orileys. In fact payday I'm just going to buy a quart can and airbrush it...
LLAP 🖖
I love Frog Tape, a tad spendy but it works great. So close to 100K 😀
Great video! And good luck on the 100K subscribers!
Tamiya tape is a rice tape called washi tape in Japan. The pink 3M tape is a washi tape so is the same stuff like Tamiya. Happy 100k subscribers 😊
Looking for these delicate masking tapes myself to test. Thanks for the video
Thanks, man! You do such a great job of testing stuff for us, and it's especially great when the test comes out positive.
Delicate surface tapes -- fantastic!
Thanks for the awesome reviews and almost 100k! Congrats!
Wow, it’s almost 100k, how cool is that! I’m sticking with Tamiya.
Thanks for the demonstrations. I know which two tapes I'm going with.
100k play button will be a nice addition to the bench background.
99.9 subs!!!👍🏻
Tamiya just lost me as a tape customer!
Steel fruit color sounds like a good paint line. Need a Steel Kiwi.
I'll make a note, the question is Steel Avocado or Kiwi
@barbatosrex9473 I would say, avocado would be more muted color, and Kiwi would be brighter color. That's my suggestion.
Which metallic paints would you recommend me for painting an aircraft? I have nothing so they are new for me and I have access to ammo, ak interactive, vallejo, mr color and alclad.
Thanks in advance,
Angel
Mr Color and Alclad
Thanks for your prompt response.

👍
Never lay your tape down either, and always burnish tape for sharp edges. The first pass should always be light to seal tape. When you remove it, pull back gently and at a 45 but on itself.
Thanks for the shoutout 😁🤘
Anytime my friend, I'll be playing your CD again this week 🤘
How about washi tape?
I will test that too
Thanks Robert.
Steel Avocado
That's a good one
Just another great video
Thank you, keep it up
