Oh David Pascal, share with us the wisdom of your glorious sources! I must agree with the comments below, I have seen David in two videos, and in one he fences with my fencing instructor :D The grace that permeates this style is apparent throughout! And this is an excellent bout, truly excellent and entertaining to watch, between David and Ton, bravo to both fencers. Fencers like you are why I chose to pursue this martial art in the first place! Best Regards to both! Adam
I wish this came with some high level commentary I can almost never tell who hit who and how. It’s still exciting to watch especially the guy that moves like a snake though got the impression he was losing a lot. He reminds me a lot of my own style where I am more interested in seeing what is possible during sparring then being absolutely effective.
Do you see the resolute advance in there? No. It is bout between Verdadera Destreza with Italian influence and French schools - probably smallsword ones - with destreza influence (it is hard for me to distinguish between exact french authors as i mostly focus on spanish and italian sources).
Where is normal attack speed? It's not a fight - it's something wierd.
I think, that good fencing - is fast and hard fencing. I think that every good strike and every delivered hit must be painful. Like that video for example, if we are talking obout HEMA only ua-cam.com/video/yL6ZpSWGdkg/v-deo.html
I swear Ton Puey moves like water. Great bout!
"water can flow, or it can crash"
beautiful moves. So full of grace.

Do You think that if the swords cut and you can die, you fight like HEMA?

It is a friendly sparring not a fight. Read the description
@@Andunekull Martin Fabian is better than those examples.
