In case you don't know african wild dogs are the ancestors of indian wild dogs(they're not the domestic dogs), and to be clear african wild dogs are not the dog we're talking about here, it's a different species, like, jackles, foxes, and different wolf species, you can check the scientific names of a domestic dog and African wild dog, it'll get more clear to you, baki Epicyon is also another Species that lived millions of years ago, maybe we can call it ancestors of wolves(not sure), but be it african wild dogs or foxes or any jackles it has nothing to do with the modern day dogs(canis lupus familiaris), dog breeds that we know today(domestic dogs) are derived from grey wolves.
