I remember when my uncle got sacked from working on the motorway for stealing things from work I never believed he would do that . I went round to his house and all the signs where there
Forceps, probably for getting hooks from fishes mouths, stainless very useful.
The tool is a T bevel square Dan. I use them all the time for finding angles! Love your videos been watching for years but this is first time commenting. Can’t wait for more videos!
Casey Nabors another angle to magnet fishing :)
Peter Larsson Brilliantly said that was a good one!
Magnet fishing with Dan and Mazzy, lovely way to start my day😁
4:55 "How do these things get in the Canal" - Answer - Drunk people Dan...Drunk People...
What a lovely couple! Mozzie seems so sweet! Glad to see you spending time together, doing things you enjoy! Lovely!!
Mazy and Dan! Make sure that you dispose of all the metal off the grass so that anyone mowing the lawns will not throw a hard metal fragment into someone's eyes!!!
The year was 2013, I'd gotten interested in metal detecting, and suddenly discovered this man called Deep Digger Dan. I clicked, and was greeted with a great song by There Might Be Giants: "And I've got something to help you understand
Something waiting there beneath the sand, My metal detector is with me all of the time..." I was filled with a sense of adventure and nostalgia despite being a million miles away. Such good times. Glad to see he's still doing well.
Love your channel! Dan's humor and Mazzy"s sweetness! I could listen to y'all talk all day. (I'm from Georgia, USA.)
I made a sliding bevel in metalwork when I was 15 I still have it and use it often, i'm nearly 60. The black thing you thought was a light is a speaker chassis - Stay safe
5:07. Mazzy found an adjustable carpenters square. You can adjust it to make angle marks to be cut or use it to find existing angles so you can mark that angle on a new piece of wood to be cut. It is a tool.
It is exciting no matter what you find.
@Dan 5:20 is a Sliding T Bevel Blade Gauge Angle Finder (Wood working tool)
That thing you thought looked like a light i thought looks more like an old speaker with the material part rotted away. Hey from New Zealand, sick of this lockdown.
The first tool was a sliding T bevel. Carpenters use it to transfer angles. There should be a thumbscrew that you loosen to measure the angle, then you lock it down and now you can transfer the angle to cut a board or piece of trim you want to fit where you measured.
The scissors looking things are hemostats. You use them to clamp off blood vessels when performing surgery, or to hold your funny cigarettes when you get down to the last bit so you can smoke it all.
Thanks for the video 👍.
Gorgeous place to magnet fish!!!!
Glad to see you back and posting videos on a regular basis. My Wife heard me watching one of your recent videos and said, "Is that Deep Digger Dan!". We both enjoy your humor. She swears you're from Scotland but I told her she's wrong.
I found a bin full of colonoscopy surgical tools last week. good stuff
And the ‘barge light’ is a speaker
Fun Magnet Fishing Dan and Mazzy!!! Best finds the road sign and the sergical scissors looking forward to what’s coming on ur next trip 👍❤️👍❤️
Mazzy has TWO gloves now! Yippee!!!!
Love watching your travel channel ❤️ absolutely love use guys ❤️
Great video guys.
I laughed so hard when you lifted up that sign , that's actually a great find Dan ,
you should take it with you
The thing Mazzy found under the bridge is an angle guage. It's used to transfer an angle onto a piece of wood or , metal so you can cut
it. Don't know if I've explained it correctly. Great sign , Dan. That was epic !!👍
I feel like Mazzy is getting a lot more comfortable being in front of and behind the camera, you two look great together. Keep up the great work!
The one item of wood and metal is an angle finder. The clamp it s hemostat. They use them to hold the marijuana cigarettes when they get too small to grip with your fingers. AKA roach clip!
Nice one Dan and Mazzy. Been looking into doing this, but not sure lol. You had some nice bits up there. Enjoyed watching as always. Take care and see you on the next 👍
Use to watch u when I was like 7 😂so mad and such a throw back to see your still recording 👍👍👍👍👍
And I don’t know how but Your yt name just popped into my head
Looks like fun, even though not much was found you can't win every time.Looking forward to your next adventure.
Miss you Dan
I love it when you say come with me / us I feel like I'm there too 😀
They will have left the road sign as it probably belongs to the Highways Agency! 👍
Go to Manchester and hit the Audenshaw canal. I've been on it a fair bit with 400kg double sided magnets and it constantly brings up safes and cash boxes. So with them Wukong beast you should be able to pull some of the even bigger stuff from that area.
7:15 fishing forceps for removing hooks from a pike.
Thanks
It's a sliding bevel, I used them as a cabinet maker.
5:10 Carpenters bevel. 9:50 Council's usually leave temporary traffic signage items as they are usually on hire from a company and don't wish to get involved with it.
5:35 angle finder for building things
I have forceps too. I call mine roach clip.
I went magnet fishing once and never caught a single magnet. Awesome video guys
The thing you thought was a knife was a bevel for marking angles
at 5:02 is a sliding T-Bevel that Mazzy found
Hi Dan & mazzy yay magnet fishing try Manchester ship canal. Bet you would get some stuff out of there 😉😁
Watched you for years back when you did cooking they was my favourite where are you now dannn
Bevel gauge used by carpenters. I use mine a lot.
We will have to call you Deep Dunking Dan if you keep on
the pliers are for taking hooks out of fish
T-bevel, looks like one I have and mine is 80 years old.
Fun little fact as I was doing research into magnet fishing... its actually, and weirdly, illegal in the UK.
“Don’t step in the DOG MARK!” Haha! Never heard it called dog mark in America. Hahaha... Of course “y’all” are the ones with the accent. Not us! 😃😃😃
5:23 Thats a carpenters tool for drawing angles, it's like a ruler in a way. Carpenters today still use something similar
Modern version example: www.amazon.com/Measurement-Template-Craftsmen-Handymen-Carpenter/dp/B073YP5TW1
that thing that looks like a light is a speaker
and the place you are at say the first part in northern (LUFF)
Another honest video, can't all be safes and guns unfortunately. Good luck next time
Dan this is zouch it’s not Loughborough it’s in between Hathern and east leake

Long nose forceps used for fishing
Digger Dan are you not making anymore Videos ,It Subscribed to your channel but have not gotten any notice that you have anything new.Hope you will let us not way you stopped.
It's pronounced "Luger-barrooga"
Thats what us locals call it lol.
Mozzie is so adorable
Forceps for getting hooks out of a pike or zanders mouth
Looks like fun and those were forceps i think thats how you spell it
its not a tool part its a hinge from the bonnet of a van.
Hemostats, a locking forcep
Hello there that was carpentry tool And it wasn’t broken through measuring corners get in the right shape good video
Not a drain cover, a cat's eye from the middle of the road
The ‘tool’ is a bevel
Put some thread lock on you eye bolt it's a set square
👍
Man I wish I knew you were so close. Would have come had a dunk with you 😑
Please come back dan
Dan you found a good set of hemostats, Now you can do your own surgery and save more money yet.
Hey Dan! How come you are not making anymore videos? Want to see more new ones!
He has new channel. Travel trolls.
God it didn’t notify me
Dan how are you doing?
Does Mazzie pitch Softball? She has a pretty good underhand pitch
I dont know how you can touch the muck Mozzie. Hugs Nettie
The medical thing...... Its also used for taking out fishing hooks
Are these “rivers” you guys are fishing in? Also, are they made for public boat travel and or commute? Here in the U.S. the rivers are waaaaay different: Those are beautiful waters you have, I was just wondering.
Good luck from America!
And to be specific...Muscle Shoals, Alabama. 😃
2:40 that's a small speaker
Hi dan, you shooting any videos in Nottinghamshire whilst your in the region?
Not this time.
Deep Digger Dan shame, thanks for the reply though!
getting that sign out was abit of stop and go Dan lol .hey just a thought ,it might be worth carrying with you a gaff hook fastened to a round brush handle for when you get something just near surface but a bit heavy to pull up the last bit ?i will make you one if you want all you will need is a round broom rod and 2 screws .tx me an address if you want on as a prezzie tx me or email me if you want one be very handy ,can i have the sign for my workshop lol .Ant from sunny wales !
We need a grappling hook. A lot of magnet fishers have them.
Some time back - Dan died of Covid-19
no u
That "light" is a speaker :) or was..
maybe :D
Can Al find metal?
Magnet fishing is kinda fun, but its a pretty bad concept. You're only going to catch things with iron in them, and iron things start rusting in shallow water in days.
Fun is what it's all about.
Top top like
Grand union.......
I do magnet fishing found a ww2 practice bomb
Roach clips 😉 🚬
Lol!!
Forceps........

7:23 there to pull your teeth out, i think?
