- Beneath the bright lights of Singapore's immaculate facade lies a thought-provoking narrative that not many people know about. There is a shadow that looms over the so-called “lion city”. Unjust labor practices thrive in the shadows, governmental transparency waivers and censorship casts its ominous shadow. The unwavering quest for progress, though commendable, conceals the unspoken burdens shouldered by its citizens. By delving into The Dark Side of Singapore, we are confronted with a compelling exploration that forces introspection and raises questions about the delicate equilibrium between success and sacrifice.

8:01 This is true. Most Singaporeans do not know that DBS was involved in the 1MDB scandal because of the controlled media
Lack of transparency and counterpoints are key reasons for the situation in SG. Recall how former President Ong was treated when he requested transparency of the huge reserves.
I feel bad for these workers. I mean they have to sleep outside as there is no place in the dormitories in my area. There is some construction going on in my area of town.
Colonial labor practices on foreign workers continues in Singapore till today.
The part about the Migrant workers is true and was proven as people questioned the conditions as covid swept through all the dorms and there is only one newspaper. However, there is definitely nothing wrong environmentally with Singapore. Singapore is one of the greenest cities in the whole world as Lee Kuan Yew passed a law that the minimum amount of concrete must be used and the rest must be plant life. Singapore has a law where very few cars are on the road in order to conserve the environment. You see countless green plan after green plan to help Singapore achieve an environmental state. Although Singapore does have its' issues and most of the things you've said are correct, you should check the evidence before making assumptions that Singapore is unenvironmental, because it is far from that.
Best in the world. Says PAPaganda.
Cant make an omelet without breaking a few slaves.
Omelette all over faces
Some facts are correct and some are not.
You make valid points but is laden with misinformation/negative framing i.e. Singapore's water scarcity and import reliance did not come as a result of urbanisation, exploitation of foreign workers is well known in Singapore and the public has voiced their concerns, etc.
Would have been a better video imo without the overtly negative bias!
Karen, you can't handle the tryth.

No I'm Singaporean U can chew gum but can't sell it and here's why they banned it
A group of teenage boys had chewing gum and went to a MRT station. They decided by playing a prank by placing the gum between the doors so it could not open. This caused a lot of chaos and that is why it got banned.
