I wish we had something like Sweetwater over here in the UK. The gear exchange section is a great idea, browse all the used gear in one section instead of trying to find the used gear which may or may not be in stock once you've driven hours to get to the store.
I live in northern Indiana, just under 2 hours from Sweetwater and I’ve never been there, but it’s on my list to get there as a weekend trip! I wish I knew you were there, would’ve been nice to meet you! I do gear reviews also on YT, I have 180 followers and still growing, hopefully I’ll get to be as big as you one day!
It's OK. UA-cam and videos make the place seem way bigger and cooler than it actually is. I mean, don't get me wrong it was cool but I probably won't be going again. I live in indy too
Yeah! Killer tones! That Explorer is bad ass! I swear by my awesome Seymour Duncan pedals! Oh & your elevator moment needs to be a gif! Haha! That was awesome! 🤘😁🤘
The song at the end of your video! Holy fuck! You have to include these in your videos.. music to my ears Kyle. I'd love to see more videos include songwriting and arrangement. That song at the end rips dude!
Nice vid Kyle! I'm local to Sweetwater and stop in at the store all the time. Wish I had run into you that day! The used gear section is reeeeeally hard on my wallet!!
As a Switchblade owner when you said "if the switchblade sounds like crap" I merely shook my head. Arms went up like someone scored a touchdown when I saw you chose it.
Whenever i have business anywhere near Ft Wayne, I am in this store.. can find some great used deals as well.. This convinces me to use the SW gear exchange next time i need to sell something..
Love Hughes & Kettner. Have owned a duotone, a Triamp, and a puretone. All were amazing. Always get compliments on my tone. Currently rocking a H&K tube factor overdrive into a 63 Fender Deluxe w/ a Weber Chicago speaker and that has ended my life long tone quest.
Well, I guess it makes the most sense if you are trying to upgrade and Sweetwater has or can eventually get what you want. I may have to make a pilgrimage when they get an amplifier in that I would prefer to try out in person.
Hey Kyle! Dig the show man. I used a Hughes and Kettner as my main stage rig for years. Might be a show idea here: H&K made 2 different versions of an amp early on that are downright as big a budget sleeper as most Peaveys these days: the Tube 50 and Tube 100. I used a Tube 50 and a 412. These are the first step in the whole Tri-Amp line. Tri-Amps have 3 ch then each ch has an A/B switch, these amps have 2 channels with the 🎉A/Bs. I actually used the lead channels the first few years which sounded really good, and then just preferred diming ch 1 B switch or crunch channel (wasn’t super crunchy) and using the boost side of a Box of Rock into it and it screamed!! I still have mine which I’m sure is in bad need of a cap job it’s been sitting dormant for so long. Anyways I enjoy your shows along with Tonetalk, Pete Thorn etc. Hope this is an idea you can use. 🤟😎🤟
Ok folks today we are gonna find out if I can build a killer rig out of old out dated gear. First up we have a 59 les Paul running through a Marshal jcm800…..😂
Man, would love to check out the Gear Exchange, except the Sweetwater app is made for an older version of Android! Please ask them to update their app, Kyle, if you have a chance to give your input to them!
If anyone has never been to Sweetwater dont hesitate. The campus is bigger than you may think plus the outdoor auditorium. I believe they can schedule tours of the facility too but they have to be scheduled in advanced. My last trip i ran into Nick Bowcott (the bald British dude) at the cafeteria. Nicest guy and incredibly humble. If you go, the staff will let you try anything (even if its in the warehouse) they will have it sent over with no obligation and take care of anything. Its literally like going to Disney World without the woke shit. Oh, bring the credit card. Lol
Basicly all sounds the same. Average at best 😐 Should have went with the 5150 el34. Of course you like everyone else probably already has that amp because it is the best. In my totally unbiased opinion 😉
Grear Exchange, the home of high priced used items.
Seriously tho. Everytime i gon on there its just reverb and ebay items + 10%
Has anyone ever commended Kyle for just not being a jackass? One of the most polite people ever. Such a solid dude.
*Kyle is functionally employed by Sweetwater at this point.*
Tends to happen
Yep. They always find a way to get in their pockets.

Wouldn't that be Anderton's?
@@ddcraun not quite the same. Their used gear is spread out all over the shop or in a warehouse
that soldano pedal in the fx loop sounded amazing. great tones man
It feels like there is not point in getting such a big and heavy amp if the preamp is not being used
The Switchblade is an absolute monster! I've had mine for several years and it does it all!
Awesome tone bro. That explorerer is sick AF
I have that Charvel! Sick guitar.
Can you give it medicine?

That Lzzy Hale explorer is pretty bad ass! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Nicest guy on youtube! Thanks for the video KB. Continued success on the channel.

Gear Exchange rocks! I've used it 4 times. Totally recommended used gear marketplace🤘

I loved this video!! The whole idea was awesome!! Sweetwater should do a series like this!!

14:25 my favorite Black Dahlia Murder song
Great vid! I live an hour south of Sweetwater, so I go a few times a year. Great place
What was that awesome riffage at the end of the video that sounded sick.
Quality content! Thanks Kyle
That explorer was beautiful
Id love to have one of those Explorers! Killer!
Dang, wanted to hear the Charvel..
I'd get that Vintera Mustang, Blues Jr., Keeley Loomer, and Morley Power Wha, Ice Box Chorus pedal.
I have a Jet City Soldano clone but that Soldano pedal sounds dawn good for some solid state preamp!
"Open back cabinets are not belligerent." LOL
I wish I lived closer. Place looks awesome
Love me an 805! Great choice
Ok folks today we are gonna find out if I can build a killer rig out of old out dated gear.
First up we have a 59 les Paul running through a Marshal jcm800…..😂
Is that a super tight bottom end or am I crazy?! Is that due to the H&K or the H30s in the EVH cabinet?
Awesome video Kyle, lots of fun keep it up
I think Josh Scott’s pedal display is bigger… but that’s a nice runner up
Awesome tone great video

That white Marshall sv20 ❤❤❤
this was awesome
Killer tone.
It took me about 15 yrs but I've basically built most of my rig with used items. Both my guitars and both my amps, most my pedalboard.
Was hoping to hear the Charvel.
Just bought a Dunable R2 from gear exchange
WIsh there was used music gear store in my country :/
Kyle , you are the shit man! Lucky Son of a gun.
C'mon TriAmp Mark 3! H&K send Kyle the amp! And matching 4x12....
That Explorer...
Nice shirt are you from PA?
He lives in Erie,Pa
I've gotten some amazing deals from their used shop!
Same. They will negotiate, which is nice. The longer a piece of gear has been sitting, the better deal they will give you.

Get it!
Almost all of the gear I own is used 😆
Same.
Reverb but better
Kyle, like Rabea, is a cool dude and metalhead. Some others, like Ola, not so much.
But I'm satisfied with my simple guitar and synthesizer rigs. They're not fancy or prestigious, they just let me make the music I want to.
I listed a guitar on gear exchange a while ago. No responses. No offers. 😐
That H&K sounded mean.
I did not count, but he said they have used gear.
I tuned in D for months, not exactly 72 seasons, but anyway...
🤘🏽😈🤘🏽
Yew!
Bruh...skipped the rack and went for pedals instead💀
400 dollar guitar 60 dollar shipping nah
Kyle looked there used gear is waaaaaaaay over priced
Basicly all sounds the same. Average at best 😐

I was like 666 🎉
Oh my god! Used gear! This has never happened in the history of ever! Unprecedented!
