Exchange works great! I purchased an EP booster for half the cost and had no complaints. Still waiting for the IRS to move the amount to 10k+ so I don't have to deal with more useless tax forms.
they need to get an app going so you can manage your listings from the phone easily. once they start to get more eyeballs it will be great. especially if you take the no fee gift card payout. If they had the app (for the gear exchange) I would use it a lot more
An app would be great, but the mobile version works really well! We are working on adding SMS messaging for important notifications, so keep an eye on that!
I've driven by Sweetwater several times in my semi. Would there be room to park and come in for a couple hours? Would i need to call first? (Full sized KW and trailer)
You would need to use the delivery/truck entrance to be safe, but there are areas to park semis with trailers (not in the customer lot). It may make sense to call ahead to let security know you'll be parking a semi rig. They could help direct you to a safe spot you can get in/out of.
Like with any system there's loopholes and scammers lurking. Make sure you ship with insurance or set strict return policies. Unfortunately, there's people who purposely damage or break gear to try'n get discounts, or pull switches with damaged or broken gear they already have. I had a situation like this happen to me, and it wasn't handled very well by the Gear Exchange team at Sweetwater. In the end my standing with Sweetwater and my take no bullshit attitude, insured things got straightened out. Be carefull how you communicate these exchanges, and I recommend contacting the person by phone. Email and texts can create barriers that won't rear their ugly heads till your scrambling to recover your money. Trust no one! I ALMOST, learned the hard way.
@@DrFearCo I see horror stories from some people but I haven’t seen anything. Recently I sold a brand new amp that was trashed in transit by UPS and the reverb team stepped in big time and took care of everything. Only positive things to say about the platform.
I understand the no fee payout option but lower your seller fee even more than 7.5% and give people even more of an incentive to switch over to your marketplace. Put reverb out of business.
the 7.5% could be much lower i agree but putting reverb out of business would be the worst thing ever, the best we can hope for is several platforms competing rather than one giant monopoly
7.5% is lower than most of our competitors fees, and we only charge their higher fees on sales price, where others charge it on your shipping costs and sales tax! And we don't want to put anyone out of business, there is room for everyone in the used gear world!
Enjoying Baxter's road trip. 😎🤓

How does the conditions get set. Does the seller say what the condition is or is it sent in and Sweetwater does the rating on what condition it is
Hey tell them to make the app.

The “gift card” can ONLY be used to purchase brand new gear at full price. They need an app, and better incentives like

I've had a good experience buying and selling on Gear Exchange on $1000+ synths
Man I love that shirt.

They have a lot of used gear at their store. Their complex is amazing.
Thanks Mike! We appreciate you stopping in!
Dang it, if I had known you were going to be there, I would have stopped in.
I know right! I stop into Sweetwater about every week
@@rb240tuner I'm half way between CME and Sweetwater. I would have gone either direction for these last two videos.

I got a pedal that had clearly been rehoused. You just never know what your going to get
Not used to conversation that doesn't meander and drift
The IRS waived the $600 limit for 2023 according to another financial channel on yt which l forgot.
Not dropping reverb anytime soon. Best of luck though
Reverb is run a by a bunch of communists. A trash marketplace
Reverb has been getting worse and worse over the years… I’m happy to see more competition.

Can’t even sign in to SW web sites. Tells me I don’t know my email and password. Screw it!
Create an account? Just what I need another password to remember!
You don't need another password. If you have a Sweetwater account you just use that for the Gear Exchange.
