It's going well; I created a Playlist: once you've completed the 'Route' I'll sit down, devise a schedule, then deliberately and repeatedly go through the whole Roadmap. I'm confident I'll learn the rudiments of Sight-reading in doing so, as you Notate everything. If I prove my concept, I'll Download the PDF's and continue laying my Sight-reading 'Foundations' by working from them! All the lessons are really helpful - clear and engaging. I appreciate your work! I'm also continually impressed by your many on-screen innovations regarding how you approach Notating Music!
A great lesson. You're a very good teacher, always clear, not too slow, not too fast, and offering exercises and insights for all level skills, unlike the vast majority of publishers on UA-cam, who upload only (ultra) "beginners" stuff. And your calm and warm voice is very pleasant, so that one can't help but keep on listening and pay attention to your to-the-point explanations. I'm considering a trial membership on Piano Roadmap more and more.... My only concern being that it *might* be too beginner-oriented (I'm far from a "good" pianist but don't need to re-learn again the C scale fingering or the note names on the staff). But with the 1st month price, I guess it's not a big risk to have a look !
Thanks so much for your kind words! Yes, please feel free to check out the membership to see if it's a good fit for your level right now. It's actually risk free because there's a 7-day, money-back guarantee. I'm happy to refund your purchase within 7 days if you find it's not right for you at the moment. Just email me (info on my website): www.pianoroadmap.com
I’m having trouble with hand coordination on level 1 with broken chords on the left hand while playing the melody with right hand. Any tips on how to overcome that?
Hello! Even though I compose a little, I haven't taught it. Are there specific areas that you're interested in (singer/songwriter, piano solo, other...)?
@PianoRoadmap Piano solo. Your lessons remind me of beginning composition classes. I could tell that you could teach composition. There's a depth to your lessons from the perspective of creativity that I don't see in other videos.
Thanks for asking! I'm sure you're not the only one who was wondering. You can see a PDF score here and you'll notice the LH patterns are similar to what I was demonstrating: musescore.com/user/33574620/scores/7822463
Susan! Thank you very much for all of your efforts and for your patience with your thousands of students! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Great chord exercises for a "fashionably late" beginner like me. Thanks so much for all that you do to help us improve while enjoying the journey!

What is an Amelie?
It’s the main theme from the “Amelie” movie soundtrack.
