Mr. Denzel Washington waiting for the rest of the crew to sit down together.
@Codac Yes. He's sweet, sweet but strong.
Yes Coen did sit and when he saw that, he decided to stand up again and wait for the rest to join.
Class act if ever there was one.
Such a gentleman. I’m sure he waits to eat until everyone gets their order.
Manners and education level god Mr. Denzel! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
The true genuine admiration Denzel and Frances have for each other is so evident here. They’re each others biggest fans and it’s endearing to see. This art of acting is not about one actor or individual. It is to be shared and Cherished among all and they continually remind me of that. 🙏🏿
They are both very down to earth and come across as "Everyday People" that you would see in the street or in a shop or Cafe or Bar. They are real Celebrities because they have Nothing to do with the Trashy celebrity Culture that we see every day in the Media. They are both very far removed from that Shallow, Vacuous Kardashian type Culture.
In fact I wouln't even compare them to the Trashy . Cheap, empty, so called "Celebs" who are only Famous for being Famous . They are miles away from that Vulgarity and My Respect and admiration for them is Enormous.
too bad they weren't so good in the film.
OMG! Denzel and Francis together, two of the greatest living actors in Hollywood, this will be no less than BRILLIANT!!!!!
Denzel, at age almost 68 years of age, talking about playing Othello at age 20 a few feet from where he's sitting. Phew! A journey indeed.
He hasn't been 50 for the last twenty years?
@@g_aware_nerd Lol seems like it right! Can't believe his wife is 71! They both look great.
Almost 67, just stepping in to help Denzel out
That’s real love a women that got your back when you fall
My first thought when he said he didn’t know what he was doing was, “Yeah, I bet he was amazing anyway.”
A Coen version of the tragedy of Macbeth with McDormand and Washington as leads? Yes pleas! I also love how unpretentious and humble they all are despite being legends themselves, it’s a true lesson on class and talent.
Saw it yesterday, one of the greatest theatre experiences of my life
I can't wait to see it with my grandson, he loves Shakespeare.
Your grandson 78 or sum 🤨🤔
@@LilCrashOutFr no he is 17vears old..
@@dyutiparnaguha8693 I’m in my 20’s and appreciate Shakespeare. And a good joke. You’re welcome.
@@dyutiparnaguha8693 yea I got that lol
He went all in with Shylock
I love how harry melling has gone from playing dudley dursley in harry potter to sitting with these heavy weights
Frances and Denzel are one of the greats in Hollywood. So talented.
Two of the greatest.....
Don't know about the other one but Denzel is the greatest actor on earth.
Agreed
Denzel is so great in everything he's in, I can't wait to see this one.
This movie is NOT a modern rendition of the story of Macbeth. It's performed in Early Modern English. Washington's performance was good, definitely worth watching. McDormand was masterful and definitely the scene stealer; she was just brilliant as Lady Macbeth and will probably be nominated for the Oscar.
Never would've expected to be hyped for yet another Macbeth after Polanski, Kurosawa, Welles, but here we are, another great one added to the ranks.
What about Kurzel's Macbeth starring Michael Fassbender?
I just watched it and this piece of art is terrific. Those two are two of the most talented actors in Hollywood and i love her for being always herself truly, unconditionally.
Denzel and Frances the two biggest TITANS of acting: 5 OSCARS on the baggage. My two favorite actors! 😍
Denzel is going to absolutely kill it as Macbeth!
I'm holding on to the edge of my seat waiting for the day I'm able to view this masterpiece.
Fwiw, my father (from the Bronx, as I am) was a Shakespeare scholar. I once asked him what is Shakespeare’s greatest play. Without hesitation, he said, “Macbeth.” Btw, we lived on Shakespeare Avenue (southwest Bronx).
Smart man. Hamlet gets more love, but its overrated. For my money, Macbeth will always be the best.
Can hardly wait for this production. Two of the screens finest actors alive.
I loved Denzel in Much Ado About Nothing. I will love him in Macbeth. Can't wait for this movie!
Rock on Denzel!!
The first thing that I thought about when I heard of this movie was “are they doing accents”
This is an incredible gift. Passion, Understanding, and Desire is the Key. Pure magic. Thank you
This is so nice! I am glad to see more people of color to play in medieval times! Which we see very little! Denzel is a pro as in Shakespeare plays! To have it in Black and White make it even better!
Moses Ingram is going to go far. She’s such a giving spirit.
I can't wait to see this! EVERYONE involved in this project is a winner!
Frances still has a flip phone! I'm not alone...Luddites unite!!
As a 24 yo who also has a flip phone, I dislike how she parades it around at different press conferences. She did it at Cannes a few years ago and i just cringed
My only phone is a Nokia 3310
@@christoffersundberg8689 Same here.
Denzel is such a great actor. You just know that he has to play the game to work with these actors who’s politics are different than his.
politics I really don’t care what an actors politics are to me they are meant to only entertain (not saying they can’t have their own views on the world )
So stoked for this to come out
Man I wish Kathryn Hunter was there! She stole the show in every scene she was in.
I need to see this in a theater on a big screen 📺
Cannot wait for this movie, some of my favorite actors and Joel never disappoints either
Saw this movie over the weekend. Yes. All kinds of Yes. Everything about the movie is a huge yes.
Simply love the partnership
between Frances and Joel, in film and in marriage.
"Fair is foul and foul is fair..." ❤️
OMG, I love Frances and Denzel doing this amazing movie together. This ladies and gentlemen is special. I would not be surprised if both of them won Oscars for their brilliant performance.
I can't believe Francis Mcdormand is 64 years old she looks so much younger with her energy and intensity
.
Sophocles ❓ 👳♂️
Can’t wait to see this in theaters
Denzel is pretty selfless. The biggest powerhouse, and he subdued himself not to talk so much as everyone else.
Denzel e Frances, dois grandes astros do cinema simplesmente extraórdinarios!!! Sou fã.
This movie is gonna be AMAZING!!!!
13:49. A good example of what happens when the host just rambles on instead of asking a question.
The host did fine to be honest. It was. 95% of time it was the crew speaking, most interviewers ramble waaaay more than this guy does.
Its so refreshing to see an actress not dress up at all with heels make up and so on. Just be herself. That is real confidence.
Denzel Washington bout to win his third Oscar.
Should be going for his 5th or 6th
Well if he gets nominated along side will Smith's king Richard, it might be a tough one.
@@Fye_Motions Does anyone recall his beautiful deep Great Debaters teacher ?? he gave a million dollars to Wiley College after that.
MOVIE OF THE YEAR
This is going to be sooooo good!
The leads of this film are pure electricity!
‘Everybody poops.’ -Words to live by
Just realized that this is also a Queen’s Gambit reunion between Harry and Moses!
So looking forward to this! Looks stunning. The only thing I'm not going to like is the sad and brutal visual of denzel at the end of the movie
Just so much force in one room it’s crazy
Joel is an absolute genious and we all are lucky to hear him talk and watch his films
I finished the film yesterday with my brother. GORGEOUS adaptation. I knew Joel Coen could pull off the visuals.
2 great performers. Cant wait to see this. I like Shakespeare so I'm definitely interested.
Trailer looks like Coen is taking his lead from Olivier's expressionist/noir style in Hamlet (1948), also Welles' soliloquy scene with Gielgud (heavy is the head that wears the crown) in Chimes at Midnight (1964) .
Francis talking about messing with the punctuation... we fail??? We Fail! Such a great off-hand line reading, and really captivating to hear and see how a small shift in tone and perspective totally changes the meaning of the character and text. Really not so simple as it might seem. But it's really great, hearing her walk the audience through that choice. And then Denzel F. Washington, who's been totally captivated by this schooling: let's go kill 'em now. lol
Aw yes to macbeth and yes to shakespeare
Wonderful, wonderful conversation... Soaked in it so much... Thanks...
Amazing film! Denzel will win the Golden Globe🏆
This will be the best movie of 2021 2022 and 2023
Brilliany adaptation..absolutely brilliant…in 7 years of High School in Jamaica, I studied a Shakespeare play each year…Macbeth was the one I studied for 2 years for my GCE O’Level,(Cambridge) Literature examination…of all the adaptations I have watched, this was, hands down, the BEST…the stripped down ‘backdrop’ amplified the clarity of the dialogue..of course, the delivery of the dialogue was also amplified….brought the meaning of said dialogue to life with such clarity….Found the black n white choice of filming a stroke of genius…echoed the pathetic fallacy of Macbeth’s downfall…of course the actors made this film a triumph….Denzel’s delivery breathed new life into the understanding of the Bard’s words….I found myself so transfixed that I would flashback to class discussions of what Shakespeare’s words meant…..so much I could say but will stay with, ‘bloody well done…hats off to Joel , the crew n especially to Denzel….u conquered the Bard’s words….wish I could see u tackle KING LEAR, another of Shakespeare’s ‘tragic heroes’….studied that play ,along with HENRY IV PT 1 for my GCE A’ Levels Literature….of course Coen would have to make that film also…..
I’ve seen every film Denzel has done. So great is his work, definitely waiting for this film 🎥
He can stiill play the Action Hero despite getting on a bit.
❤️Señor Denzel 🙏🏻
Crimson Tide with Another Legend....Gene Hackman
In the age of method acting, Denzel is a class apart, whatever role he does,he brings his own charm
Denzel and Whitney Houston look amazing in the movie the preachers wife just a great job of movies he’s done
God I'm so blessed to be able to be on my cell for this magnificent tribe of Macbeth. Next year I will Volunteer...
Denzel Washington♥
You can tell by how denzel crosses his legs when he sits that he's a sweet man. 👍🏾👌🏾
What are you trying to say? 😏
Of course..he's a Capricorn. He/WE move in our own particular way. I cross my legs the same way. It's called class.
What does this even mean??
Glad they talked about Ross, thought that was a really smart twist that I hadn't seen done before.
If Ethan Coen isn't available to write your clever/witty dialogue I guess you could settle for a Mr. Shakespeare. "To pancakes house or not to pancakes house, that is the question" "STFU Othello" The sequels could be endless. 'The Elizabethan who wasn't there'
wow can't wait
He said, " it's a long thousand feet" wow
The Royal Shakespeare Company version (Ian McKellan/Judi Dench) that was filmed for television actually feels very similar to what the previews reveal as far as it being obvious it's filmed on a sound stage and very tight focus with the background kind of fading away.
Great to see Dudley Dursley (Harry Melling) on the stage!
hope he wont retire dude deserves nothing less but selfishly want more
YESSSSSSSS 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
What was Bertie talking about any why did he interrupt Denzel to say something out of context. It’s like he couldn’t finish a thought
Eager to enjoy this film production. For various reasons, including because I am an actor who has had the pride and opportunity to interpret several works by the great William Shakespeare, such as Hamlet, A Winter's Tale, and Romeo and Juliet, but also because of the validity of this proposal of a Macbeth in 2022 and for its enormous artists such as its director Joel Coen, his wife FrancesMcDomand and the unbeatable Denzel Washington whom I deeply admire. I have seen them in many and it is always captivating and versatile. A sure success approaching German expressionism to which, as a performing art teacher, I have directed several works of collective creations. Greetings from Uruguay.
Wonderful Olivier award winning Bertie Carvel as Banquo.
Denzel 🙏🏻
Frances is such an underrated actress. Denzel and Coen are 2 of my favorites in film. Looking forward to this.
underrated with 3 Oscars???? nah
@@kowrtuy2996 The academy is different from the public imo but fair enough.
@@kowrtuy2996 …and much more, yes she is appreciated, especially winning much over 50!
the film was epic
UA-cam is BLOCKBUSTER VIDEO NOW
The interviewer was ehhh. I'm excited to see this film really really am. Sounds and looks dope.
Denzel finally works with the Cohen Brothers...a film lover's wet dream...If he isn't nominated, then Hollywood is a joke....Frances...everything she touches turns to gold...She'll likely win her third oscar....Just take my money, already ! 🙂
Denzel is so NY. I mean God. Does he promote anywhere else? Ever been to Tokyo, Denzel?🤷🏾♂️ Damn
He doesn’t need to. Why do you care?
Nice 👌
Frances mc dormand amazing :)
I'm surprised nobody spoke of the actress that played the witch, I just watched an excerpt and she blew me away with her interpretation.
I forgot Denzel is in Much ado about nothing.
The most incredible acting job in the whole film has to be Kathryn Hunter as the three witches / old man.
I know this isn't the point, but of course Frances McDormand uses a flip phone
Why did he do it without his bro ?
I hope the movie lives up to the hype...just saying.
Dudley!
I’m so happy for him
He’s turned into a lovely character actor! 😁
I honestly wish they did an Othello first. We had a 2015 Macbeth which was brilliant, we needed an Othello to replace the 95 version.
Yay!
Nobody talked to Denzel hmmmm I thought he was one of the stars in the movie.
DVD was 2 ships of 2 different light sources
Frances is ready to win another Oscar for looking constipated and talking between breaks
I wait now for an Ethan Coen film. is the elephant in room, one of them, addressed in this interview?
37:45
McDormand is utterly fucking singular
For the naysayers that say Denzel as one type of character.
Lady Macduff has literally one scene, why is she here lmao
Looks fantastic. What a team. Love black and white film. Civility liked this so needed now not to mention current relivance to power struggles. May Shakespeare heal us. Damn not Apple. Please recognize we are being subscribed to death w no income. As Davos prounced we will own nothing and be happy. Fuck that. Time to share. Shakespeare was for the people.
I agree, Nancy. I just talked to my husband about how to get this MacB, and I hope UA-cam gets the rights to rent it because my family isn't going to subscribe to any channel. We almost subscribed to Disney to get Hamilton- then, we gradually heard that Hamilton is over rated/slightly annoying and wiped our brow for skipping that subscription.
