im the same. a total classic. the plaintive remark is spot on. its prob my all time fave HL track, though 'touchables' is chasing the ratings for me. 10.000 watts of power. there was something about the Travelogue album, its got this nice dark edge, Phil sings it just right, the lyrics, so deep and dark, how it should be.

What I wonder about this song...is what is the title supposed to mean? How did they think of it? Kind of adds to the mystery and quality of early League tracks...even the cover to the Travelogue album is so cool.
what is that voice saying in the background between 2.25 and 2.30, i remember hearing it on the original vinyl and it always spooked me, listen carefully, its definitley there.
Phil's voice is overdubbed/2x chorus in this track..One version is saying "To talk of love and other things", while the other says "That talk of love and other things." One is also slightly time-shifted from the other.

I became a big fan of Human League when I lived in London in 1981 while my dad was producing a movie at Pinewood Studios called "KRULL."
I've seen this performed this weekend by Heaven 17 performing Reproduction & Travelogue ... It was the only chance ever to see it performed live....
