I've got a 2018 ZX-10R. I get people complain about the plain Jane LCD display on it as I wanted something more, too. I replaced it with the plug-in AiM MXK10 for this reason. Sure, the TFT display is pretty, but what I've found is that when I'm flogging the bike, the only thing I care about on the dash is knowing when I'm approaching the rev limit without having to take my eyes off the road. Believe it or not, the factory dash is really good for this. The MXK10 is also, but only because of the row of bright LEDs included specifically for this purpose. My point here is that the color dash is something pretty to look at while you're showing off your bike to your friends, but where the rubber meets the road, it's just not that important. I also have a Ducati 1299 Panigale S, which has the fancy Ohlins electronic suspension and pretty color TFT dash, but when it comes time to choose which one to ride, 95% of the time it's the Kawasaki.

I know they're made for track-days and Sunday morning blasts, but ... that's fantasy-land, that's not where we live...
Let's face it, the 2008 Blade is beyond insane for the road and, if you could ride it to its potential, it'd have you battering the fast group at any trackday.

Nice video! IDK about engines 500cc and up, but about smaller engines I've experienced that Kawasaki is the best! Gas saver, reliable, cheap maintenance!
ive read somewhere that riding the new blade feels like a 600cc sportsbike, that being gutless at lower revs and you absolutely have to rev it sky high before you feel the power rush. which in my opinion, not an ideal condition if you want to ride on the streets. The older blade with 1 less "R" would probably be better for that. This triple R is designed to win WSBK, so i think Honda just went all bonkers on this one.
Kawi is a great bike... compared to the superbikes of 2009 😂 That godawful dash was outdated even before it came out. The bar has become so high now that we consider a ZX10R "not really up there". Hope they update it asap though, they've been killin' it on the track for decades!
I like them both and I am not brand loyal I like all bike but prefer Japanese because more bang for the buck and less expensive to maintain. I a tough call but I would probably go for the Kawasaki.
Even tough Im a Kawa boi. I must say it starts to look outdated. Hondas LED lights, aerodynamics and tech would probably make me choose Honda if I was buying a new bike today.
Not sure how you can rate the Showa suspension as "lower spec". I have raced with that Showa BFF fork and have found it to be on par with Ohlins FKR 100 insert and better than Ohlins NIX 30.
I like the ZX10R look but if Kawasaki adds Cruise Crontrol, heated grips, keyless start like the Honda and the TFT display Honda has I'll go with it. Gonna wait for the next ZX10R to see what they come up with before I upgrade.
VISORDOWN PLEASE GROW A PAIR AND TELL US WHO ....YOU...THINK IS BEST!! YOU ARE THE ONES WHO RODE BOTH BIKES!!>>>>PS SAME WITH CBR 1000RR-R VS YAMAHA R1 ARE YOU AFRAID HONDA WILL PULL ITS ADVERTISING ACCOUNT FROM YOU IF YOU PICK ANOTHER BIKE OVER THE HONDA?
I cant wait to see a tuned Honda CBR 1000rr keeping up and beating the S1000rrs, its their time now, hope theyre able to finish it, other wise its just another Honda with a new body.
The tech that's introduced more and more into bikes is not appealing to me. So obviously the zx10r would be my choice. I'd rather be able to pick and choose what electronic aid I'd install into a bike than to have to deal with the headaches of having to disable or remove what came on the bike.
It is rear wheel power for sure BUT..... You have to rev it to over 14000 rooms to get it. That is the catch. These bikes both need sprocket changes to get most of that power to the rear wheel at reasonable rpms. They are geared for the track only!!!
I L💙VE the "Blade"!! , but I would opt to buy the Ninja. I'm a 6'2" tall guy, and I believe the man when he speaks about the Blades' comfort & ergo's. It has to be a good "fit", for an absolute amazing riding experience. IMO, an ill-fitting motorcycle will wear you down, and you might even think about letting it "go", after a year or two. Comfort matters 💚.
Knowing Honda and how conservative they are, the engine is heavily restricted which one can tell from the dyno graph. The EU and Japanese bikes put 202-203 WHP. Kawi is a great bike... compared to the superbikes of 2009 😂 That godawful dash was outdated even before it came out. The bar has become so high now that we consider a ZX10R "not really up there". Hope they update it asap though, they've been killin' it on the track for decades!
Fireblade #Honda
I wish we have CBR250RR in the Philippines
I like the Honda fireblade
I like them both and I am not brand loyal I like all bike but prefer Japanese because more bang for the buck and less expensive to maintain. I a tough call but I would probably go for the Kawasaki.
Even tough Im a Kawa boi. I must say it starts to look outdated. Hondas LED lights, aerodynamics and tech would probably make me choose Honda if I was buying a new bike today.
Just wait a couple years and get the all new zx10 . This honda is overpriced and not really a good street bike .
And the winner is........HONDA!
I choose CBR 1000rr because of the latest features and LED headlight not like ZX10 is only traditional bulb.
The Kawi is just dated. Honda for the win 💪
Mm93 and honda tandem...makes perfect....to me..
Not sure how you can rate the Showa suspension as "lower spec". I have raced with that Showa BFF fork and have found it to be on par with Ohlins FKR 100 insert and better than Ohlins NIX 30.
Honda!
How is the new fireblade so strong and why does it have such a relatively flat torque curve despite having no VVA?!
Well this video directly contradicts another video I saw saying the new Fireblade is totally lacklustre in the low and mid range
it is ! - >> built for racing !
Kawasaki Ninja Zx10RR is WSBK Rea And Honda Cbr RR-R 🔥 blade Moto Gp Marquez Not fair It's Different Universe 😉
What where your lap times on each bike if you rode them on the same track? Could help make the decision for someone.
Dang the new blade sounds nice butt i am ganna stick to my 2009 blade
I just discovered your channel and i like your videos, you should shoot them in 60fps for the sake of clarity.
Honda 1000rr-r is my dream
honda cbr king
I cant wait to see a tuned Honda CBR 1000rr keeping up and beating the S1000rrs, its their time now, hope theyre able to finish it, other wise its just another Honda with a new body.
beating it where?
honda looks the part
Aren’t manual suspension preferred more for tracks ?
The tech that's introduced more and more into bikes is not appealing to me. So obviously the zx10r would be my choice. I'd rather be able to pick and choose what electronic aid I'd install into a bike than to have to deal with the headaches of having to disable or remove what came on the bike.
Kawa, green power ❤
I thought Honda made cars & lawnmower engines? KHI for me, we've got previous...
214bhp at the rear wheel! Are you sure about that? Do you not mean at the crank?
It is rear wheel power for sure BUT..... You have to rev it to over 14000 rooms to get it. That is the catch. These bikes both need sprocket changes to get most of that power to the rear wheel at reasonable rpms. They are geared for the track only!!!
Pretty sure that's crank HP
Very close between them...... However, nice to see roads round Thame being used with the ZX-10...
Definitely!
BHP figures are at the crank not the rear wheel as you mentioned for the honda
I L💙VE the "Blade"!! , but I would opt to buy the Ninja. I'm a 6'2" tall guy, and I believe the man when he speaks about the Blades' comfort & ergo's. It has to be a good "fit", for an absolute amazing riding experience. IMO, an ill-fitting motorcycle will wear you down, and you might even think about letting it "go", after a year or two. Comfort matters 💚.
Excellent reviews toad!
Glad you like them!
As long as it is not Yamaha, I will take it 👌🏻 I love both Kawasaki and Honda.
Comparisons done in self isolation brought to you by Visordown lol...
And we hope you like them!
Kawasaki is the #1 bike to buy ..it cost less and do the same job as the Honda
Very well said ! 👍 Very informative. Thank you. We'll have to wait for the new zx10r 2022 😍
Fingers crossed!
Knowing Honda and how conservative they are, the engine is heavily restricted which one can tell from the dyno graph. The EU and Japanese bikes put 202-203 WHP. When a ECU flash becomes available soon and you upgrade to a more free flowing exhaust it will push 220+ WHP. Not to mention the stupid long gearing the bike has. Fix that and nothing beats this Fireblade.
CBR 1000 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
finally,. an equal R battle.
Honda every time
