Yeah, he was going at it good too, he just made the mistake of braking at the end. If he continued to accelerate and steer back into the turn he would've cleared it no problem

You can still do it, but the influence your tires have on your steering is greatly reduced so you have to whip the car around mostly into your turn before breaking traction. Never looks as cool or as smooth as RWD drifting tho.

It’s sad 70% of these were avoidable simply by dropping the brakes and applying power. The instinct to lock your brakes if you go wide or understeer is one of the hardest, yet most important things to overcome in learning to drift.
wouldn't it understeer even more if you apply throttle? I thought if your car is understeering it means you re going too fast and the front is too light, hence applying brake to put weight on the front wheels.
This will only work on a car with a lot of power to get the rear wheels spinning IN GEAR WHILE ROLLING. Otherwise you should left off the gas slowly and counter steer hard. Only time you should gas it is FWD or torquey cars
@@gitanodel69 absolutely not, if your car is under steering it means you're going too slow, applying Power allows you to break loose, if you apply the breaks the car will not break loose, and if you're trying to drift, 9 times out of 10 it'll mean you hit a wall
