Blohm makes the nicest most powerful surface grinders I have ever seen! Thanks for taking us along for the tour boss!
Used these machines for 2 years to produce the best, most precise aircraft parts in the world.
Thank you Blohm ! :)
Under a micron (.00004), how the heck do they do that day after day...there is a very small part of the population that has any appreciation as to how tight a tolerance this is.
Well, did you hear the mention of sand paper...so it's locally ground using a moving table and laser referenced somehow. I used to hand precision lap hard stainless parts on a 5 inch diameter platen - I used to fine grind / polish to about 0.1 micron fairly easily but the straightness / alignment over two rails for 2 meters length is significantly, significantly harder without any doubt. No doubt someone who takes their job very seriously.
There are some very talented people out there in industry and most folks have no idea what it takes to bring some of these products to market....I'm elated when I hit a dimension that is +/- .0001..........have a hard time relating to something like 0.1 micron, just the heat from holding onto it would change it....😄@@TAH1712
When Titan was talking about them getting stuck on the train, the guide in the background was just smiling because it completely fulfilled the german preconception of the Deutsche Bahn with ways beeing late.
I'm sorry xD
I noticed Blohm equips most of the machines on their manufacturing floor with the Sinumerik control, but they also use Siemens in their own production. It is nice to see a machine builder "practicing what they preach". Awesome video!
Facility tours are the best! Let’s get grinding! 💥
BOOM! Keep up the grind Germany🥳
Boom is not what you want to hear from a grinder...
These tours are so cool. Thanks boss!
Some amazing machines. It's crazy how much the technology has improved in the last 20 years.
Such an Amazing tour of Blohm!
That's an amazing tour of the facility!
ITS AMAZING😍😍😍
Great european machines 👏🏻
Love the big drawing of that corporate jet concept on the wall at 2:17 min.
Keep up European industry.💪❤
Just someone needed to create crazy products with this stuff.
Amazing machines!
Thank you
For
Sharing this interesting video
Of high-tech companies
Mind blowing 😎
Boom.....Amazing Video
Very interesting
13:49 You got stuck on a train? Did nobody tell you not to drive with Deutsche Bahn?
good stuff Titan
Incrível Parabéns !
Love it
I like how he said the heat was for workers. Its really for temperature quality control when machining. Thats why they did it
Deutsche Qualität.
Wow! We have a really small world 🌎 TX to Deutschland ❤
What do you guys say about SW Machines?
Im a service Engineer at the company and would like to know what you think.
SALUDOS¡¡¡ 🇵🇱CANTABRIA 🇵🇱🇪🇸 España 🇪🇸
I want one
What music is playing on the background?
Helow sir,
Can you see the Tsugami machines it works so good especially CNC automatic lathe machines LOVE FROM INDIA AND i am currently studying in mechanical line so i will DO MY BEST TO WORK WITH YOU SIR. ❤❤ THANK YOU SIR HAVE A GREAT DAY❤
Actually, I'm curious. Can you use this machine to grind down a 0.4mm sheet of steel/aluminum to 0.39mm thick?
Would be interesting to see the capability and precision of this machine
Look at 7:50 and 8:10
5 micron tolerance on the base plate in the machine alone, not to mention more precision things, which was mentioned as sub-micron. 0.005mm, which would be 0.4 to 0.3995
0,395!
Eu trabalhando numa empresa dessa meu Deus
Deutschland, beautiful 😍
This is crazy less than 1 Micron!
Is this the Blohm like in Blohm&Voss?
Yes thats a last name of a person, but Blohm and Blohm&Voss are complete different Companies
MOAR TOURS! * Kylo Renning intensifies *
Get to the chopper. I mean, grinder. ❤
Lots of floor space at Blohm where are the workers? Ray
At the end of the video he tells you they had a train issue and got there late.. Watch the full video next time..
typical deutsche Bahn 🤣
I repeat myself over and over again^^when germans talk about thousands its a different thing when americans talk about thousands. We talk about mm and you about inches. ^^ 1 us thousands is 0,0254 mm about 25,4 german thousands^^
I can achieve .5um on a crappy optotech
when you think you got a little knowledge and skill in cnc job and than you see this, and you realize you know nothing :D
Unfortunate convention name.
these sure blow away the berger grinder i use daily
