One glaring flaw with these Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II (but the best active noise cancellation)

I’m planning to get my first pair of IEB this weekend. I’m going to primarily use them with my iPhone 13. Which one would you recommend Bose QC II or AirPod pro 2? (Or any other)

Hi, if you need to open the app for pairing, do you know if it is possible to pair with apple watch ultra?

I just got these. They paired normally via bluetooth. Then I installed the app. The instructions on the app said the put to buds back in the case, and press and hold the button until it flashes blue. Then the app connected to the earbuds. I've not tested this extensively, but it seems the trick to changing devices is to put the earbuds back in the case with the lid open, and pressing and holding the button. This seems to disconnect the buds and allow for easy setup with other devices.
On the other hand I noticed some weird behaviour with the auto adjustment. It might be the way I'm holding them as I get them out of the case (as this is very awkward to do compared to ther earbuds), but there is a sound that plays that is supposed to adapt the noise cancelling to the current fit. Perhaps it was happening in my hand, or something was going wrong because the sound quality was terrible. Really muddy and bassy. I tried taking them out and putting them back in, and the only way to reset this is to put them back in the case, and then re-insert them. Quite fiddly.
After that the quality was passable (unfairly compared to my headphone+preamp setup). Perfect for travelling. Maybe not so good if you're constantly taking them in and out.

Thanks for your comment. I will try your trick of putting them back in the case when I want to switch devices. I agree with you that these are perfect for travel; that is more or less when I use them. LOVE how well they do noise cancellation.

You nailed it.I own one. Music and ANC is awesome. However, pairing is always a problem. Sometimes, I had to unpaired and redo the entire pairing process, which is so annoying.

I'm surprised the multi-device setup didn't work well. My over the ear Bose headphones handle that flawlessly (and that's one of the primary reasons I love them).

I was surprised as well. By far the worst multi-device implementation I have ever encountered. I am also pretty salty about the fact that you have to download and use the app to use the earbuds at all. Which is really too bad because everything else about these earbuds is super impressive and I would probably use them a lot more if it did better device switching. This seems to be a fairly common problem with this model as well. Glad I am not the only one.

Are You experiencing white noise while using them ? Personally I'm charmed by the quality and range of the sound but white noise is quite dissapointing and many people in internet has same problems as mine pair has. How it looks with Your device ?

I have those earphones. All you got to do in order to connect via bluetooth without the app is press and hold the back button until the light flashes, so you don't need the app to pair. As far as switching, I have a Pixel phone and a Samsung Tablet, and it's paired to both, and when I go from one device to another it does seeminglessly. My only issue with them is the fact they don´t charge wirelessly, thats all

Ooohh. Thanks for the comment! I am going to unpair all devices, remove the app, then try your method and see if I have more luck with them. I love the earbuds but have not been using them for this issue.
