Got to love it when you buy a new bait and it’s on fire out the gate nice job
I’d like to see a video on how to net a big muskie alone. Especially in the summer when the water is warm and one doesn’t want to play it out to the point of exhaustion.
That’s a tough one I might have a few tips for that j could shoot on.
Drag the fish around the boat like a dog on a leash (when the fish is within 3'-6' of the rod tip) that doesn't want to come when you are calling it. Pull hard to keep the line tight and keep dragging the fish around the boat until you have an opportunity to go for the net. I will run down one side of the boat and then turn the fish and pull him/her back the other way. A lot of guys will free spool when the fish makes a run, that helps to keep the fish off the surface which can lead to fish getting off because of the weight of the fish being on the hooks more than if the fish was in the water. A long handle light weight net like a Beckman works best when you are fishing alone (LONG handle and light weight are key). The net that Doug uses looks like it would be good for netting fish on your own, I think they are RS nets. I haven't used one before but they look like they would work great on your own. The BIG KAHUNA from Frabill is a tough net to use on your own. Too big and heavy, but it does work.

Great video buddy, Carol & I were there last week got 25 for the week but 18 came in the last 3 days !! We had an 8 fish day and she got 5 and I got 3 the funny thing is we called the day at 6 fish started back to Oak and it was dark but always do this 200 yard trolling run well right away she got a 47" I continued the run and with in 5 min. 1 got a 48" and it was well dark out ;) Looking forward to the rest of your videos and yes women wear the good stuff on the outside and then complain when they get slimed !!Lol

Hope to get to fish with you for a day on Green Bay next year. We built a new house in Central Wisconsin this year, so the timing just didn't work out after we spoke on the phone that one time earlier this year. Oh well, I'll get back in touch in the spring and we'll get out on the bay.

Things i noticed about musky they are not shy what so ever. N alot of bites are within feets of the boat. Knowing they see anglers.
They are king of the water they have nothing to be scared of but are a very curious fish that take a lot of coaxing to bit at times.

Not been a banner year for me 2 months of COVID, lost my dog missed musky fishing. All I do is watch musky fishing videos. I’m on the ascent now though and I plan to spend a lot of time in Minnesota musky fishing and Green Bay of course.

Doug, how are the prorex reels holding up for you? I got 2 400s and have had a handful of problems with both reels. Spool not engaging after a cast, antireverse failing.
That’s the same part that is causing both issues. I had a couple do the same thing to me. Overall I have heard great feed back on them but as much a I use them something is bound to break. I had much better luck with the Lexa TW the saltwater version of the Prorex.
