Traded my Ram for a Canyon last fall, after my brothers was in the shop 4 months waiting for parts. CDJR looks to be going down by the bow... My 1st 4x4 without a low range, that said, I use the 4x4 auto all the time & love it. With 8 gears and all the torque of a proper diesel I'm not sure I'll ever need 4W low...we'll see. My 1st GM product since the paint washed off my 4 month old K2500 back in 1991. 7 Fords, 2 Jeeps & 1 Ram since then.
lack of 4-Low is a dealbreaker for me on buying a truck. I would have to go with AT4. I also agree with you on wishing GM would get the headlight controls out of the infotainment and as a stock on the steering wheel.
It’s a sad state when we look at a 4 cylinder midsize pickup truck and consider the 50k price tag affordable. Chop 10k off of this and then we’ll be talking
LMAO, good luck with that. Dealers do not budge on new vehicle prices, especially when they add in their "non-negotiable" markups & unwanted add-ons over MSRP. Trust me, you won't be talking....
While this vehicle is quite aesthetically pleasing, the fact that GM has included cylinder deactivation in a 4 banger, considering the wonderful reputation GM has for cylinder deactivation, is absolutely ridiculous. Oh wait…and you also get it with auto start/stop. So good looking or not, cylinders deactivating is a no go in my book.
Are the rear headrest removable? Do the visors slide? Is the AFM causing premature engine wear? Is there (still?) high oil consumption? Is the 4WD high also auto 4WD? Can you rest your elbow on the door/window sill?
Would you say driving it around town if it feels considered bigger than a mid size SUV? I'm thinking this maybe a better option than a 4runner,explorer, etc ....
Great vids man .. any chance of a 2025 GMC Canyon AT4 video coming soon .. would love to see it so I can make up my mind ( 24 vs 25 ).. tks for these insights
Idk why GM started doing that. Yeah, most buyers probably never use it, but what are they saving, $100 in manufacturing costs? I rarely use 4lo these days, but I would never buy a 4x4 without it.
@@Holden-McGroin 100% i was considering getting and elevation until i found that out... i was confused why they didn't include it. probably to upsell to the next trim level
More like GMC is smoking…something that makes them think a 4 cylinder turbo is a work truck is a good idea. Did not work well with the Silverado. It is not a hybrid. BYD and Ford have it right. 6 cylinder turbo turbo or EV- ICE generator.
Yo ben quick question sir I want to buy my first vehicle but I can't decide between a 3.0 duramax or the new rams I just graduated from high school and my budget is 60k I can go 70k but financed

You think thats bad. Look at canadian prices. We get it worse
I dont know where you’re located but you can get an elevation for around 40 at most dealerships

Gmc canyon elevation it's looks cool for a midsized truck you can go off road

There is no AFM in that engine.

Bro. I was thinking the same thing. At4x tho. So much cooler
Any chance next time you can show the storage behind the back seats?
side profile looks like a 2016 Tacoma
No heated steering wheel? 😢
nah elevation doesnt have 4low, not sure why not

GMC has come a long way to improving its truck and giving customers a good looking affordable truck, but not for me.
This isn't that affordable....🤷♂️
Idk why but i always forget that GMC has a base trim level and the exterior looks more than basic for an entry trim level
48k+? 🤣🤣🤣😆😆🤣
Its worth about 37k tops!
Ranger V6 XLT all day
I looked at a Ranger and can't get over the display..it looked like they took a samsung tablet and stuck it to the dash.
@ fair point but at least it doesn’t look like a new Tacoma screen that looks like an iPad was glued on😂
I drove a new 2024 and the engine is just too damn small. It looks cool as hell but I passed.
Love the look of the new Canyons, but i just dont trust GM quality anymore.
What’s the point of these trucks? There’s no room for rear passengers & u can’t even haul a pc of plywood lying flat in the back..
Lose weight
Give ma Ford please …

The 2.7L 4-cylinder is a phenomenal engine.

Don’t bring that up
Someone posting that comment has no idea and doesn’t care

I like the new Duramax a lot. I personally would rather get an older used car and save some money. It’s your money though.
owned both and ram power steering pumps will definitely go out before gmc. sensors in ram will cost you as well when they go out and they will
I’m trying to figure out how a recent high school grad has a 60k budget for a truck.
