Before I played the video I thought the segment between the 2 circles was 3 units, but when I played the video I saw that 3 units is the length of CD, and the problem looked more realistic. I obtained the same answer for E, 4 - 2*sqrt (3)
R=4-2√3≈0,536≈0,54
That is a problem that I SHALL practice bc I this is a combination Pythagorean Theorem, circle theorem, and quadratic equation. Nice!

(2-r)²+(1-r)²=(R+r)²(2²-4r+r²)+(1²-2r+r²)=(1²+2r+r²)r² - 8r + 4 = 0r = 0,536 cm ( Solved √ )
