It allows for johnny to continue the combo. Since nut punches in hype meter are the same as amplified nut punches(which have more stun), and you can do 3 special moves consecutively during hype, 2 nut punches and a shadow dash is an efficient way to utilize your hype and continue the combo. After you reset your special move streak with the shadow dash, you can continue the combo and use even more.
There really is no ez way unfortunately. It’s a huge skill check. Just gotta be able to input stand 4 into hype since it’s the only button of his whole kit that combos with it. It’s annoying I know took me about an hour in the lab to get it consistently.
get good at mind games for the nut shot one, you can catch them off guard but u give up ur turn. the dash kick is decent when you create space after a knock down.

I personally think motaro is best overall for johnny, gives you the range attacks since he lacks em,teleport to close distance, and reflect to stop spammers and help you build hype meter quickly,another useful tip with motaro is that he changes your x-ray, since Johnny's is mainly a parry ,with motaro equipped if you tap the cameo button before johnny starts dancing motaro will lunge forward and hit your opponent, catching them off guard since they'll think your gonna do the johnny dance👌
