    Hi Rico,
    Wow, I never thought to use the histogram like that before. I also never played with the end points of the RGB (or Tone) curve. Those are amazing tips! Now I will go back to re-editing some of the photos I took in the aquarium in Valencia.
    Keep up the amazing work.

    • @RicoResolves

      That is an awesome aquarium. I've been there too! A few years ago (before I met my gf) I went on a road trip to Spain by myself. Always loved the country and since I can manage myself language wise, it was a logical place for me to go. Can't wait till corona is over and we can visit Spain again 😁. If I didn't met my girlfriend, I'd be living in Barcelona now!

    I think the White Balance module automatically balances the RGB graphs if you select spot colour (with the bounding box around everything). But it's still a useful trick with the RGB curves to then tweak it manually. Thanks, I learned something new.

      With an image this blue, it's not possible to get good results without using this technique.

    Thanks Rico, these videos and tutorials are so helpful. Is there any chance you can show us how to split images in darktable to make a landscape into a swipe picture in Instagram? Hope you know what I mean. If you've already done this I'd love to see it but couldn't find anything about this on UA-cam for darktable.

    • @RicoResolves
      @RicoResolves  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately, darktable isn't suited for that. In theory you could crop out half, export it and then crop out the other half and export that. However, it's much more easy to do with GIMP. So it's not impossible in darktable, but it is very annoying to do lol.

    • @daveek42
      @daveek42 3 роки тому +1

      Lol I did notice it was annoying!! I'll check out GIMP then. Keep up the good work!

    Hi Rico,
    I love watching your Darktable videos short & sweet. Please keep doing it, it helps a lot.
    I have 1 question though, most of my time when I process my RAW images in darktable,
    the end result still has that white cast in the images, can you let me know how I can remove it.

    • @RicoResolves
      @RicoResolves  3 роки тому

    Great video Rico. One question - in my version of Darktable, 3.4 I believe, the histogram doesn't have the option to show RGB separated as does on yours - am I missing something?
