That is how I grew up in South central California, my parents owned a community grocery store on 115th &avalon, and there was several black owned businesses on avalon. Then came the 105 freeway and there went the businesses and many black families. What can be done to prevent this from happening again, they will wait until we accomplish something, and put in a freeway, or simply flood it.
