I am also inspired seeing you can speak Japanese and Chinese cuz Im also studying those languages! Man its great having these 3D channels to share our passion for this tech
The future of 3D devices seems confusing and uncertain. It's frustrating that Leia and ZTE have been so silent about their upcoming products. Going six months without an update is definitely not a good sign.
The Nubia Red Magic 3D Explorer uses a different technology to Leia's Lume Pad. Instead of the diffractive lightfield backlight, a switchable light refraction LCD array is used here, which is located in front of the LCD TFT display. Similar to the lightfield backlight, this allows the user to switch between 2D and 3D mode without losing the native display resolution. I assume the Red Magic pad can display 3D images only in landscape mode. With a diffractive lightfield backlight, 3D views are available in portrait AND landscape display orientation. A diffractive light field backlight is superior for devices that can be used in landscape and portrait mode, such as smartphones or tablets. The disadvantage is the increased power consumption for the second set of extra bright edge-LEDs for the 3D-lightfield mode.
@@iseethreedee2317 no. But ZTE said it explicitly it supports that and there are already a few videos online showing that eye tracking 3d works in landscape and portrait modes.

Cool to see but all these China made devices won't be coming to NA and sure NA don't want too much China devices either because of all what they carry secretly that we are not fully aware. Still, it's nice to see 3D is still a thing for many.
I think it will not be available in the UK. There is another tablet released at the same time in China by Redmagic, which is a very similar non-3D gaming tablet, and this is already shown in their UK website. But, no news about the 3D one. Also, I contacted Leia. They have told me that ZTE is making a Nubia 3D pad 2. So, my guess is Nubia 3D pad 2 will be the international version of the Redmagic pad.
@@josh_3DI think you are not wrong. But, the same Redmagic pad will be repackaged as Nubia 3D pad 2, I think. Probably, costing 50-100% more though. I asked Leia, they haven't told me directly whether the two products are the same.
Given that Redmagic and Nubia are all under ZTE. It is very unlikely that they will release two totally different 3D tablets in such a short period of time.

ZTE sucks so much! I'm in Canada and never the first Nubia Pad 3D was available so I had to get a Lume Pad 2 which was only sold in US. I'm glad they were not fully enforcing the region or I would be left without a 3D tablet still to this day.
Incredibly annoying that ZTE announces another 3D tablet before releasing the first one. I'm hoping that its just a new marketing name for the Nubia Pad 3D II to emphasize gaming. I'm also hoping that the bad software that you described on their Voyage phone is not indicative of their tablet apps. Meanwhile, enough of these small phone and tablet 3D displays, when you could be reviewing the new Acer SpatialLabs 27" 3D monitors!

It’s worth pointing out that they present the 3d feature of this tablet in portrait mode.
Good point! Completely forgot to mention that
@@josh_3D So it only works in Portrait vs landscape... ?
I am looking forward to actual product in hands reviews. Even Release and Shipping Dates do not seem to be reliable anymore.
