Thanks for the video, I binge watch laptop 16 videos. You're the only one who mentioned the thermal pad. Thanks for letting me know. I'm in batch 7, I should get mine early next month. I noticed your said the m.2 is 2270 (2:40) length, I believe it is 2280.

Another great video! I can't wait for the next one in the series. By the way, there are flaps at the bottom of the keyboard, numpad, and spacers to make it easier to lift them up from the magnets.
Great point. It is still magnetized down, so it holds it close to the plate even with the tabs.

That keyboard is rough man. 2000$ and there's no arrow keys, just some weird ineffectual nubs.
I am mixed on it to be honest. My Lenovo laptop has full arrow keys. The Framework 13 inch has full arrow keys for the left and right, but short ones for up and down.
Well you're in luck, because it's modular. So they'll definitely make ones where your needs meet.

Ive gone into the process completely blind. Never watched a video to put it together. I wanted to truly test it. And its easier than i imagined. Amazing design work.
The mouse pad module so unnecessarily wide? Does give a lot of placement options.
Is it possible for the pogo pins to support a 2nd monitor in place of the numpad?
I am looking forward to see what the community will come up with, Including different touchpads and side pannels.

You missed an nvme cooler under the stick as well.
When I was setting up this laptop, I had to open and closed so many times and upgraded within the first week of recording, there are things that I did that was not captured in the video.
Which reminds me I should probably go back and get those videos posted .
Now I’m running a dual boot set up.
I wish they made an aluminum plate to eliminate the touchpad, because I absolutely loathe them, and prefer to use a mouse. But, I will admit that I'm probably a minority when it comes to that.
I bet SOMEONE, can or will make it.

Couldn’t you just order a bunch of extra spacers or led matrix panels?
Once they get in stock, but right now they are focusing on getting them shipped with the folks who are buying it with a laptop and not singles.
Once that changes, you bet I'll be picking up a few.
This is the type of product you come up with things yourself instead of waiting for the company to make it for you.

Do the color panel and LED matrix also work if placed at the bottom, or only if next to the keyboard?
Unfortunately, no those panels do not work for the touchpad area. It’s a different design and layout. I can follow up with the UA-cam short to show you the difference.

Need a booboo bagins numpad for a hidden mouse compartment. The mouse teraforms into a mickey mouse sanpan.

Can you do 4 panels color shift?
Four panel color shift is not possible because it’s a different set up on the bottom. I’ll create a short to show the differences and link to this comment.

At time of shipping, you only had one or two options of keyboards. Now after about six months or so, you have the ability to go through and select and get shipped different types of keyboards.

It's not my daily driver currently.
I still have my Framework 13 inch for that.
I Treat the 16 inch as a desktop replacement or home lab machine.
