Depending on how well your garage is insulated, you might want to consider adding some sort of intake. With your current setup, you are likely building up a lot of negative pressure, which could explain why the fan isn't working very efficiently.
Great video tho! I really like how you made things look easy :)

I did the same thing but in my basement. I live on Cape Cod and there seemed to always be a lot of musty stale air in the basement as the air was very stagnant. I have a dehumidifier and ran a small fan for circulation but never really solved the issue. I ran a fan like this with hard 3" vent pipe. I pull from close to the cement floor and exhaust out. Works very will. I have since started to "smart" home things and added a temp and humidity sensor and a smart plug. Now it will just does its thing.

What would you use in the case of dust build-up? We raise chicks in our garage, which produces a lot of "chick dust". Is there a certain type of extraction fan that I should be looking at, to help reduce the amount of dust deposited around the garage? Perhaps one with a certain filter system?
Looking for something that would be easy to maintain / clean, but would also be effective.
At the moment, likely looking at ceiling mounted or wall mounted.

Great question. I would imagine that a folder would be best, but this in not my specialty. Hopefully someone on here will see your question.
