Correction, there is just one noteworthy thing about Runaway Dogs.
Ness requires 4 exp to level up from level 1 to 2; that is exactly the amount of exp that a Runaway Dog rewards. So, if the Runaway Dog happens to be the first enemy you encounter, you can get your first level up after your first fight.
I can't hear Ruffini's "I'm being possessed by the spirit of the game designer" the same way after Iwata's passing...

I’m disappointed no one ever brings this up, but the signs that say Onett Town and Onett at the north ends of town, the letters in blue spell out the phrase “one on one”.

Seeing Ness getting his picture taken reminded me of when I cross-stitched a picture of him doing the "fuzzy pickles" pose for my friend as a Christmas present last year. I'll never forget how happy he was when I gave it to him.

Odd note. The "sunrise" riff that starts the Onett theme is also the riff that starts the "Pollyanna" theme in Mother 1. This is perfect because the first lyric of "Pollyanna" is "I believe the Mornin' Sun/Always gonna shine again, and..."
The implication is that the singer was right. Despite all the horrid stuff you're about to see, the Sun does, in fact, keep shining.
The Mother series stands with "Calvin and Hobbes," "Pippi Longstocking," "Catcher in the Rye," and the works of Maurice Sendak. It's a defense of the child's perspective on life against the adult's perspective on life. I don’t know how many games you plan on replaying but I would watch the hell out of a mother 1 and mother 3 replay!
I think Mother 3 is perfect the way it is, even though it's no Xenoblade, the amount effort that went into it, even getting friends to do voice acting for the characters in the finale is brilliant but that's m opinion.

Chuggaconroy's 2008 LP of EarthBound was about 10 minutes each video. 99 videos in 2008, but this 2018 version will be like 35 videos because each video is about 30 minutes long!

Stupid Idiot I always thought it meant they were free of Giygas’ control, or they just didn’t fight anymore.
I see it more like that, they're under Giygas's control, as Buzz Buzz specifically states that the wild animals and humans you're fighting are being controlled by Giygas.
To be fair, if I beat a dog with a baseball bat until it's limbs are broken and it can't move anymore, it would become tame, too.

The devs knew exactly what they were doing with the guy and his creepy hole.
This game wasn't planned by the "devs", it was the result of a single writer, Shigesato Itoi, and the devs only followed his plans (also a certain guy you may remember named Satoru Iwata, saw the game was being coded poorly and re-coded the ENTIRE game from scratch by himself)

Chugga your videos have always been entertaining for me to watch and have even helped me through the time last year when my house was attacked and nearly set on fire which resulted in my mom being shot. But she lived. I was a sophomore at the time but your videos helped me then and I always enjoy them. They even make me want to become a let's player myself even though I don't have enough knowledge or the equipment to do so.

I'm glad I get to see this game through Chugga's perspective. I played it when it came out on eShop several years back and couldn't get into it, but it's nice to hear the perspective of someone who's passionate about the game.
this series meeses with my head so much. I frequently listen to these videos while doing something else, looking up whenever I hear the sound effect used for pop-up text. as you can probably guess, I often look up by instinct, and get confused for a moment when I see no text because the sound was just from a battle.
