- Mesa Verde National Park in southwest Colorado is a great place to visit! In this video I share our experience going there & things to do there (as well as things you can do if you bring kids there). Great video! If my family ever makes it over there, that would be the perfect place to visit with my kids. We're actually eligible for the free Parks Pass this year, so I want to take advantage of it.
Yes, for sure take advantage of National Parks while you have a fourth grader! That’s what we’re doing it this year too 😃 I could also recommend a wonderful Airbnb in the area if you ever do go to Southwest Colorado, the place we stayed was amazing! I think our kids enjoyed it more than they did Mesa Verde 😄

I have tried so hard to visit Mesa Verde, it's always just a bit to far out of the way!
I know it is a bit out of the way not being close to any major city (and international airport)! 😄 Flying there is a challenge - and driving to that part of the state is long!! If you ever do try to go, I recommend flying into Denver because the drive from there is very scenic 💙 However Albuquerque New Mexico might be a closer big airport.
