I just got a dropper post today for my Norton and I'm ready to say F it and just go back to my regular seat post because for the life of me I can't figure out how to install this dropper post. I can't figure out how much cable or cable housing I need to cut to get it working correctly. Any slack in the housing and cable needs to be taken out at the dropper post because the lever side of the cable has a barrel end and the dropper side has an adjustable barrel that slides onto the end of the cable and is cinched onto the cable using a tiny screw. It looks like your Fox dropper, any slack in the cable/extra cable could be taken out/cut off at the lever side.
Comparison made with two different sets of tyres AND different bike setups (dropper) is just a waste of time IMHO because you can't say what actually made the difference. Now go back to tubes with new tyres and make another test. Fun fact: TPU tubes may weigh less than the sealant you put in ;)
Need drop the volume on the music some and up your voice 😊 but am absolutely loving this series!
Thanks!
Do you know what the widest tire that can be put on this bike? Looking at getting this or the Marin San Quentin and I'd like a 2.6"or 2.8" wide tire.
I set the bead dry, then inject sealant
Building the same bike currently. Does the 2.5 rear tire have plenty of clearance? I wondered if a 2.6 would fit.

I’m trying to find a good fork for the bike without breaking the bank! Looking forward to what you put on it
This is what I went with

Rockshox domain on sale from $579 to $180
@@MTBRadDad what did you torque your deatpost to with the dropper? I did poideons spec and its too tight for it to retract.
@@GenesisHD Can i drop the travel from 150 to 140?
At 3:23 you say the weight of the tyres but not the sealant or am I missing something?

I'm still trying to get a legitimate answer from mtb UA-cam creators on why are they obsessed with weight loss on a mtb?
Well I do Marathon style XC racing and the weight totally does matter when you’re doing big rides. A lighter bike is a nimble bike also.
@MTBRadDad for racing yes, other than that, it's pointless.
