Pendennis the Menace Against the Grade (KWVR, March 2024)

Ex-Great Western Railway Castle class locomotive, 4079 Pendennis Castle, attacking the gradients of the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway. Seen during the Spring Steam Gala on 23 March, and the following (Easter) Saturday, 30 March 2024. All the usual sorts of locations, Keighley, Great Northern Straight, Damems, Oakworth, Mytholmes, Haworth and Oxenhope. A most enjoyable loco to film with a fantastic presence.

Another superbly crafted and excellent film from you David, it just shows what can be achieved by careful thought and by taking a step back from the almighty rush to post with such a lot to see including, for example, the Signalman's barking dog as Pendennis arrived at Damems!

Beautiful footage again. The slightly de-saturated colours worked a treat. Did the camers do this or did you have to edit it ?

Many thanks Phil, much appreciated and thanks for your questions. The camera tends to desaturate slightly but each shot has been edited also until I get something I'm happy with.
