I’m 75 now and listened to John in my twenties ,thirties and forties but unfortunately never saw him live and I live in Australia! We always new he was a great singer and performer but I don’t think we new how amazing he is until now watching all these reactions from the younger ones like you in countries all over the world world . So glad you discovered this wonderful man and his amazing voice and amazing backup singers and band!🙏❤️

Oh yay you're back with our John. ❤😂🎉 He gives more than 100% no matter if it's a ballad, a pop song, an Acapella, he can sing absolutely anything and puts everything into it. Love you John Farnham and your band. So much joy ❤️💖💗

John sang this when he was with Little River Band…LRB..When Glenn Shorick left as main singer…John wasn’t with them for too long he wanted to do his own music..😊👏👏👏💞💞💞🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺

Memories of going to see John 🥰 you went home on a high 😂
But the best was when we took our 6 year old daughter who loved him too and at the concert we had an older lady of 60 next to us. We all had a fantastic night. My daughter returned the favour. She shouted me to one of his concerts when I was 50 🤣
    Love you John.

His cover of Led Zeppelins song *Black Dog* will definitely blow you away.
Arguably on par with the original.
It is live, but it is Audio only.
We are blessed that a technician in the Sound Booth at a concert just happened to press record while they were rehearsing during warm up and doing a sound check.
John Farnham and The John Farnham Band members. Between the two of them they are absolute magic.
Everyone in the band are impeccable and are grossly over talented. John had a knack for surrounding himself with nothing but the best of the best.

John's microphone stand acrobatics are amazing. Near the start, he obviously misses/trips on the stand, he is happy to acknowledge his mistake, dramatically limping and making fun of himself. He is so excited during the rest of the performance when his tricks work. I am in awe of how he jumps around, with fast paced walking, interacting with the crowd and his band members; still hitting every high/belted out note. He appreciates the talent and skill of his band; stepping back from the front of the stage when David Hirschfelder is playing his keytar solo, allowing him to shine. All brilliant performers, all having fun! I am enjoying your reactions; try not to cut the end of the video off; often John acknowledges the band etc, as well as thanking the audience, telling them to 'be careful on the roads' (there was a bad storm one night). I have attended at least five of his concerts; They always left you on a natural high (as well as ringing ears!) for days after. The last time I saw John (in 2018) was when he was 68 years old; still not a bung note, all the usual high ones perfect! This was for one of his many charity/fundraising concerts; Hay Mate; in support of the farmers who were doing it tough. A born entertainer and untrained singer, John is such a caring, humble humanitarian!

Totally agree 😊 You have gotta love his mic stand antics. You can never look away just in case you miss one!! 😅
The Hay Mate concert in 2018 and the one 2019 are both incredible. I go back to watch them often. He nails every song he sings, no matter what age. What a legend!! ❤

One of my favourite songs of John's. When i say one of my favourites, I mean, one of a very, very long list of favourites. No...every one of John's songs are my favourite. Thank you for your wonderful reaction. 😊

John's practise sessions were longer than concerts, Concerts were pure fun for him. He breeds and rides his Horses, plays around on his Fa4m. He can jump up andd down on the stage when he's singing clear and in tune. Try in days to come.

Yes!!! This is my favourite version of Playing to Win 😊😊 It really gets you hyped up and ready for anything 😅 Love the keytar solo by David too.
How the heck does John jump around like that and not get breathless or miss a note?! He is just a master performer ❤
Such a great song written by the big man himself.
If you want more hard rock by John, definity go with the suggestions of Black Dog or All Our Sons and Daughters from this same concert.
Thanks for listening to more John. Hope you are enjoying the rabbit hole. Some of us have been lost in it for years and don't mind one little bit 😊❤❤

I don't think I was there on this particular night, but I went to 3 other Chain Reaction concerts in different states, and they were all just as great as this one. Over the years, I've been to dozens of Johns concerts. John gives 150% of himself every time. Amazing singer, amazing performer and a really lovely, genuine man.

John's pretend stumbles at the beginning is a reference to when he was in the Little River Band (LRB). He joined the group as a replacement for the lead singer who had left. Some in the group treated him badly, and were jealous of his charismatic showmanship and his energetic moving around so they taped down the microphone cord, causing John to stumble on stage. John wrote this song about his experience in the band and his wish to leave, which he eventually did . He went on to greater things. Some of the other band members who were in LRB are with him on stage.

Thank you for your terrific reaction and appreciation again of our phenomenal Aussie Treasure, John Farnham!🥰🤩🎵🎶 Like many other Australian's, I have been so privileged to have had the opportunity to attend many of John Farnham's awesome concerts, with his superb band, between 1987 and 2020. I remember loving this particular concert, when it came to the city of Brisbane in Queensland, Australia.

John is the greatest, his voice and vocal range and breath control are epic. You need to have a look at “let me out” epic guitar solo in that and “chain reaction” with incredible harmonica solo. Actually anything John is awesome.

I have seen John perform this live. Not at this venue as it was on the other side of the country but from the same tour. The venue is not as big in WA but as with all his concerts the venue was packed and it was electrifying ❤❤
