It's definitely a different beast. I do like the possibilities it offers compared to say my P6 for example. Very different feel, especially the filters. I'll be keeping it for a while to decide if it's for me or not. Once I get a handle on it's full capabilities I'll be able to make that call in a fair manner. Otherwise, to reverb it goes!
The Prophet 12 is the best hardware synth I've ever owned. It took me a long time to find the right moment to buy it but super happy with it after one year and a half in my studio.
These are great! I can tell you put time into these sounds. Not just taking a preset and tweaking it a certain way. Awesome job. And I’m definitely buying these patches! Vol 1 & 2.
Both VOL1 & VOL2 are by far the best patches available for the Prophet12. I am a sound designer myself, but if I count in the hours of work to create patches, 46$ for both banks is a bargain !
Nice programming. I sold my P12 about a year ago. You either like the Dave Smith sound or you don't. I didn't enjoy it too much. But it was fun to program.
Added a BigSky reverb to my P12 and its a whole new animal. Pad monster, and you can use a few of the 4 LFO to subtly modulate things and get analog poly sounds... its never going to replace a Sub37 or Subsequent37 in my case, put it can do things you won't normally do in VSTs or monos anyhow.
A common first impression that's been perpetuated but clearly not the case (Mopho x4 got the same reputation). If someone told me this were a fully analog DCO synth I wouldn't know any better.
if you have the sound tower Editor you can load the programs to wherever you want. Just load them to a phantom bank and from there you can save the sounds to a place in your prophet
@@arthurfussy Thank you!!! Just purchased. Your presets are badass! Love them. Any hints for the phantom banks? I can't find any documentation or videos about it from Soundtower.
Great pack, I just loaded up the patches. Can you tell me why I'm getting a super high-pitched feedback sound that sounds like over the top resonance on some patches? I'm on the module, and when i hit the edit layer B button, layer B shows up as a basic program patch. Am I doing something wrong? Other patches sound as expected per the video.
? Don't understand the question... there is no reverb used in the demo... if it sounds like reverb it is because of the delays (short decay and more feedback)
Man.... the Prophet-12 is a misunderstood classic. It’s one of the deepest synths ever made, but it came out when everyone had to have REAL ANALOG....

@@danielprieto1967 I have a P12 and a Summit. Same level.
@@sK3LeTvM1 Awesome! Summit's a great synth too
@@sK3LeTvM1. What does the P12 do that the Summit doesn’t? How would you describe the difference between them? Cheers!
probably the best sounds I heard come out of this machine! Hello from Canada! Hope you continue to make more sounds in these troubling times
The best sounds I heard for this synth
cycling the drain, nice Thom Yorke patch!
This sounds amazing...Makes me want one even more than I already did.
Your ear is in a good place with this synth going to get both sound sets once my P12 arrives ....had one a few years ago
Great sounds, love it! Yeah for FM-base, 2:16. Thanks!
Just Love Your Sounds Mate Keep It Up By The Way Got Your Sounds Vol 1&2 This Min Thx

great patches!
Who said the Prophet 12 sounds too 'digital' and 'cold'?
Their ears don’t have a taste for quality.😀

It's one of those synths you need to experience in person.
For real, It's warm but tight. Not like pure analog. imo.
People who don’t own one or don’t know how or want to dive into programming it🙂
These are awesome! Is it possilbe to load both Vol 1 and 2 into a single user bank?

It’s becoming a classic vintage synth fast…
Why are they not many for sale out there?
its kind of hard to buy these sounds off your siter sir
