I can't stop smiling, hearing Uncle Stu use the girlfriend/partner analogy. Kind of a DejaVu feeling while listening to this, similar to what my conversations with my friends are during a bike talk session.
Love and support as always from India ♥️
Stuart. Wow what an analogy. Spot on sir.😂
Crikey Stu, you'll be writing romance novels next. 🤣 Great descriptions and good fun to watch. I would be happy with any of the three bikes referred to although I am seriously considering a Huntress simply because we have so many tight, twisting roads here that see the GT in second or third most of the time. I have ridden the Meteor and it was great fun on these roads in a laid back way. I think the Huntress will take the fun to the next level being a little lighter and having slightly quicker steering.
Ha, can you picture him writing romances? 😁
Will be the first romance novel to open with "Aye up"
Riiiight 🤣
Get him on audible 😂
For me it’s the classic in halcyon gray . The color grabbed me like no other . It sure gets a lot of attention , I love the feel of it . Can hardly wait for spring here in Montana . Loved the triplet women analogy .❤
I always appreciate how easy it is to understand you without having english as the mother language.
A truely imaginative approach to a touchy feely thing that is choosing a motorcycle. It doesn't have to make sense and it seldom does. Well done!
Hi Stuart, my son is currently travelling across India, I said to him ahh, 'the home of the royal enfield' and he said... ahhha they are everywhere and sent back loads of footage, there are scooters et all too, but the Royal Enfield is the main love. Oh I went off topic.... The Hunter for me..... I always go for the 'femme fatale'.
After your description of the meteor I think I’m in love
Word on the Indian street has it that the long awaited Classic 650 will be launched next autumn foe sale in spring 24. That's a bike I would like to test ride before buying, as I love the Classic 350 so much, it's the best of the 4 Enfields I've owned so far. Will need careful thought before I commit to buying.
Your scanning of the bikes bought back a few memories. The original Continental GT being the most significant for me..Back in the sixties a couple of then budding biker..Rockers..friends owned them, one had the same 'half faring' on his bike.. These were great little bikes. An off the shelf 250cc cafe Racer....clip on's, rear sets, swept back header pipe and a staccato bark from the exhaust... These little motorcycles had a good turn of speed for a quarter litre bike and most importantly they looked the part for us young blades...As far as l can remember Royal Enfield were the only British company that made this type of bike on a commercial basis....almost a copy of a Ducati Desmo but far cheaper...
I'm collecting my halcyon green Classic this saturday. The choice was made for the looks alone. Haven't even seen one in real life yet. Test rode a Meteor to get a feel for the power train and then made my decision a few days later. It'll be a real treat to finally be able to straddle it. And then the wait for spring and bare tarmac begins....
Had a test ride on Classic.Awesome experience
For me wheels/tires sizes and suspension travel are of great consideration due to the crappy local road that I have. I love the 18/19 of my classic, they eat the bumps and pot holes. The bike even has good non paved road capabilities and good ground clearance.
The hunter gets my vote on for two reasons.
1. The riding position is much more to my taste than the meteor.
2. The styling is more to my taste, reminding me of the bikes of my youth (in the '70s).
Nothing wrong with the other two, just the Hunter is more to my taste.
I can't comment on triplets. I have only know identical twins (who are not identical once you know them...). 😀
Looking forward to getting a Hunter when they hit Australian shores.
You won't be disappointed. Lovely bike and great fun.
You'll enjoy the hunter on Australian out back 🙏🇮🇳
'morning, Stuart and everyone! Thank you for this fine morning treat!
There's also this 411 Scram cousin. The bad girl. Not as rowdy as her older sister, Himalayan, yet wilder than any of these three.. but also more demanding... I still have few winter months to decide which one to run away with. Probably the feme fatale, I'm that kind of guy. Strangely gravitating towards the 70's style. 2nd place Scram. The 350 seems to be smoother and I like the looks more. Close 3rd classic (we both know we couldn't be together, it just wouldn't work long term). With meteor, we're just friends, and that's all we want to be.
Stuart, Stuart, Stuart. Your descriptions of the bikes as women... :) Truth be told, I was that hippie chick. Now I'm much more the Hunter. And that's the bike I am most attracted to. It would make a wonderful partner to my Continental GT. If it was only available in the States! LOVED this video, thank you!
I'll have all 3 thanks Stu and I like the bikes as well.
Beautifully put Stu, I have a 2016 classic 350 and she’s my everyday, everywhere and anytime ride, one of the doughiest bikes I’ve ever had and I absolutely love her, she’s a keeper
That was GREAT, Stu! As a Meteor 350 owner, I like my bikes and my women to be LOW maintenance; it makes life easier... :)
Brilliant video Stu. The wife usually hears your videos across the sitting room. Today she sat down beside me and said play that again, I want to watch it! 😳 I did and we both agreed I would go for a "Classic" but would end up with a "Hunter". She now says, "cannot wait to see Fridays video"! Cheers pal!
I was at this party just 2 weeks ago. Trying to decide which one of the Meteor, Classic, or Hunter to take home.
In the end, I went home with the Scram, because she likes it up the muddy lane. 👍
😉
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂👍
LOL u dirty barsteward!
🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Epic!
Amazing video mate! Love your personal description and vibes when you drive the different models
Amazing.
Beautifully done.
You must have walked around in a trance for days sorting this out in your head.
I really enjoyed that.
I have a Meteor and love it.
I'm pretty sure I will get a Hunter but resisting a test ride at the moment.
Love the classic but I don't have the devotion to care for it.
Thanks for such a good start to my day.
I am tempted by the Hunter as well- Scram owner.
Hello from Ecuador, Bought a Honda Navi (110 cc ) when I first got here. To commute around Cuenca. Population 600 thousand. Any bike can tour. One Sunday I took it on a 2 hour trip into the mountains. Sometimes only doing 15 KM/H . Its a Honda . Still running strong 4 months later. My Hunter arrived a week ago. Need a bike nimble enough to city ride. But also take me to the coast of Peru. Been riding for 50 years. Give me a comfortable seat on top of a dependable motor . And i'm in love. Fantastic video.
Out of the Three .
1st Choice .the Hunter.. 2nd the Classic
3rd the Meteor
"Every bike has been a sort of boyfriend/girlfriend relationship or maybe that's just me."
No. It is most definitely not just you.
You get to the heart of it: ride the motorcycle that gives you that feeling that you can't put out of your mind even when not riding. There's nothing wrong with buying a bike for purely practical purposes I suppose, but it's not something I would ever do.
Hi stu great video but for me the meteor all day long
Hunter any time of day. The look just calls to me.
I love your triplets analogy... Any guy could relate!!!
“Red hair and black leather, my favorite color scheme.”
Remember the tv show in USA called Gillian’s island? The two ladies marooned on the island on this show were Ginger the movie star and Mary Anne the tomboyish beauty who was allways barefoot and in cutoff shorts and ready for any adventure. Ginger was beautiful but high maintenance and allways worried about her makeup and image. Mary Anne was fun and lively and full of spunk. Reminds me of the classic and the hunter😊
Not in the market for another m/c at this time. .... (20).... our local dealers have all models on the floor. Of the 3... they have a classic in white.. it's a very handsome machine. The Himmy on the floor kept calling my name. 😎
Another amazing video review Stuart. You are correct, motorcycles are bought with emotion. We need to drop the labels and ride with what is the most satisfying for us. I don't ride to impress anyone. I prefer the simple mechanical freedom.
I truly enjoy your videos.
It was love at first sight for me and my Classic signals marsh grey.
No flashy chrome bling, but oh my lord, those curves...😊
Your comparison made me laugh. I love my jeans and t-shirt girl although high heels and suspenders sound very tempting 😂
If every bike commentary was like this...
But I guess you cannot do that with every motorcycle.
The most intimate and deep commentary i've ever witnessed. Remarkable !
Love the way you explained the bikes, made so much more sense than a technical comparison.
The Hunter 😃👍great video. Thanks Stuart.
Bravo Stuart. "Probably doesn't wear panties" made me laugh out loud. I need to test ride the Hunter....
Love the metaphors
A bike meet fellow has an all- black meteor with the high mirrors removed and it looks absolutely beautiful. 👌
Another great piece of work. Clear concise.but with the right level of emotive content. But most of trustworthiness!!! Thank you Stu. (Wish I lived next door!!!)😂
I'm torn between the meteor and the classic as far as looks go.
The cruiser seating position and bars maybe appeal slightly more.
But for some reason my head is saying I'll enjoy the hunter more.
right now Im dealing with the same, but Ill probably save a little more money and get the Himalayan, I would get that one without a doubt
The classic for me the stockings and suspenders can’t resist.😉
Always the naked for me. 😊
Hello Sir, I am enjoying very much your presentations. You have the voice for documentaries. I have been in love with the meteor and currently qrowing my bagdet to have her. Keep up the good work. Many thanks
LOL. I love your analogy between motorcycles & women. I've often said exactly the same thing. Justifies having 3 motorcycles. 🤭
That was a good analogy, I'm off for a cold shower now or should I just stand outside.
For me the 350 classic is the perfect retro bike, hoping to get one this year.
Goog video Stuart... Trust me to pick the high maintenance one but sure I wouldn't mind any of them. Bitterly cold here in ireland ride safe everyone
I have a Meteor and couldn't be more happy. The Hunter is also pretty good looking, but I'm not a big fan of the Classic because it looks like an identical copy of a bike made in the 1940's or 50's. For me the Meteor (and Hunter) give respect to the past in a more modern and updated looking package.
I have a Classic, I preferred the riding position to the Meteor but once introduced to the Hunter I was smitten, it feels right.
I agree. And the lack of underwear seals the deal for me...
Brilliant vid Stu. Loved your comparisons, think I would have the low maintenance hippy chic! (Meteor) because I need the lower seat height. I also love the look of it.👍 always look forward to your excellent vids, keep up the good work!
Of the three girls, my choice would be the Huntress but she'd have to change her make-up (horrible tank decals). If she refuses I'll marry the Classic.
Loved it. My thoughts about motorcycles exactly.
Nicely written Stu, you’re a poet and you didn’t know it. 👏
I have a 25 year old 500 bullet, just love its character plus bought myself a Supernova in blue which is fandabbydosey... Love all the modern 350 singles.. Well done Royal enfield
Silky smooth voice, with a wonderful story of three sisters, I feel I could listen to any subject delivered in this manner by Uncle Stu :)
Thanks again Stuart another great video and fun to boot.......Tim.... Tea Tree Gully South Australia
Another cracking video, really enjoyed this one, funny and lighthearted. Meteor, hmmmm
To solve the problem I purchased one of each!
Ha ha!
More important than the shared engine and chassis, the other commonality is that all three ladies forego undergarments
- Stu thank you for getting it right haha
I would go for the 17" front wheel Hunter, as opposed to the 19" Classic. I prefer the handling characteristics.
Brilliant analogy, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and there is something there to suite most riding styles!!! 😊
Plenty of wisdom, here.
Thanks, Uncle Stu !!
Best reveiw ever! This is the reveiw I have seeking one from the heart not a shop manual.
Not exactly a Mills & Boon description but does it matter, like you say and I 100% agree they are all great bikes, nice video by the way, (as usual)👍👍👍👍👍
Iam from Bangalore, India. Beautiful review and the way you put across it to audience. Just great. Currently i own a 2016 classic 350, but may change to Hunter 350 soon. Reason being for Looks, light weight, easy manuover and decent pricing of Hunter 350.
Loved the analogy between the bikes and women, they all have subtle differences, each a class of their own. Still, torn between all three! A romance and an adventure might be two different things, but a marriage is a total commitment. Thanks for the enticing video Stuart! Cheers!
I've been on the fence with all three of these models! I like them all, but, for me I reckon it'll have to be the classic. I'd say that's the one that most appeals to me.
Hello Stuart, just to say, with all the doom and gloom going about, thank you for a good laugh.!
Cheers Keith
Wonderfully descriptive 😀. I think everyone should be able to relate to the review.
Terrific analogy Stuart, I'm still unsure of which one but got a smile ear to ear now
I missed this video when you published it, but these descriptions of each bike are absolutely killing me 😂
Well said sir!!! You are absolutely correct about the emotional connection. When I purchased my classic 350 it was almost completely due to how the bike made me feel and the style! So different from car purchases! Keep up the good work
Good one Stu. And great advice as well. If I were ever to replace my Bullet (unlikely), it would definitely be with the Classic. Thanks!
Classic 350 😍
Dear lord. The way you describe these motorcycles. I think I'm in love.
Best compare / contrast of these three machines that I’ve ever seen! You sir, have quite a way with words.
The best ever test ride, man.. the best ever! Thank you very much.
Uncle Stu, this is the best video ever, the anology was just delightful! Now I'm sure the Classic 350 is my tipe of girl, adding on what you already said, the Classic is the girl that wears boots and long coats all the time, no sneakers!
Really helpful video. I have experience riding trial bikes in my youth (the ones with no seats) and have always wanted to get my road licence and this is something I will be looking into doing this year. I am instantly drawn to RE because of how they look but also, the price! It's great to hear that all three of these machines do similar things, just with different personality. Definitely between the Meteor and classic 350s. Not a fan of the HNTR look to be honest. Great content! Keep up the great work!
I've always fancied a go with triplets, one is never enough after all and that little bit of difference between each is just......perfect.
Made my choice, got the dapper gray hunter . Great fun
Brilliantly done!
Stu you are without doubt the best motorcycle reviewer on UA-cam....my choice of the three is determined by two things...Steve Mcqueen and one of my neighbours being a one percenter!
Almost everything I own is personal and intimate. Clothes, shoes, car, cameras, phones, eyeglasses, and of course, motorcycles. I very much enjoy what I have. I own a 2021 Fireball Red Meteor and if I could find someone to make real forward controls for it, I wouldn't consider trading it for a Super Meteor 650 when it comes to California. I prefer low maintenance but very functional and become one with it. I enjoy long distance trips and spend more time riding than polishing. Thanks for the vid. 😎
I can't make my mind up between the Meteor and the Hunter...I wish I could win the lottery and buy both of them, but unfortunately only one will sleep in my garage...
Finally, the answer I was looking for. And beautifully done so, makes lots of sense.
Extremely fun to watch video that was well thought out and executed.
Love the comparison and my hippie chick fireball meteor 350! Keep it up and safe ride
Brilliantly done. No better way to describe these awesome bikes. So similar that it becomes a choice of the heart. I have the meteor myself.
I'm always reluctant when it comes to those straight up vodka girls, I think I'm happier if she likes Chardonnay. Great video, loved it!
For us shorties the Meteor has the lowest seat height but the Hunter is lighter. Perhaps put all three keys in the fruit bowl and see which one you pick. At 68 pondering whether to climb on a bike for the first time in 50 years, I thought a sensible scooter would be the thing but then I started watching RE videos. What strikes me is how few bike dealers there are now, in Surrey just outside the M25 they're all miles away so servicing to maintain a warranty becomes a logistical event.
The hunter is definitely the most appealing to my taste, but it’s definitely not big enough for my size (6f2), and a bit underpowered for my weight (200 lbs)...
Morning Stuart 🌞 lovely video 🙏
What a review! Love your style and the triplets analogy was funny because it's true!
A brilliant analysis of the three bikes,i would like all three but can't,i am waiting for the himalyan 450 although i like the new super meteor as well.what a dilemma Stuart.
Lovely bikes, but I just took my £4K and bought a 2006 Moto Guzzi Griso. She's gorgeous and goes like the wind, older women don't depreciate as much, if at all, and can still teach you a few tricks... 🙂
Man, loved the commentary on this video 😂❤
nice video, with humour and emotions!
the way you put it is quite similar to mine. so original only a real rider can understand i am your fan you are my guru.
