How muscle tension impacts stress

  • Muscle tension caused by stress shows up in two main places in the body: the pelvis and the base of the skull. Holding tension in these regions can also make it harder to manage stress by inhibiting the response of your parasympathetic nervous system: the part of your body that manages stress, slows your breathing and heart rate, and returns your system to a healthy, sustainable balance.
    The iliacus and the psoas make up what is commonly called your “hip flexor.” Tight hip flexors twist the body and can create low back pain, hip pain, and even neck pain. Psoas release and illiacus release can help reduce stress and resulting muscle tension in your body. Because our minds and bodies are intricately connected, by taking care of these areas of your body you are optimizing your mental health and providing relief your body needs!
    ________________
    Created by a physical therapist, the Hip Hook is the world’s first tool designed for psoas release AND iliacus release. Just a few minutes a day with the Hip Hook can provide long-term pain relief to the lower back, hips, tailbone, knees, and feet. Tightness in the iliacus and psoas is directly connected to many different kinds of pain throughout the body because its tightness rotates the pelvis and twists the body out of alignment.

    Muscle tension is stress ..the mind is the body and the body is the mind there is no differences or separation...the separation that is experienced is a lack of self awareness of posture because you cannot foucus on the conceptual information being processed via self talk and your body simultaneously , thus if you continue in this state over a period of time it becomes normalized then you can get all manner of mental health disorders through what has now become muscle memory so you feel stuck now and you can't remember how to get back to healthy posture , which is reinforced by the self talk in your heads and by feed back of professionals who really needs you to stay in this state to justify their personal careers..that doesn't mean that some mental conditions don't exist but they certainly aren't what they are currently understood to be . Also lack of balanced vitamins doesn't help but I guess that's what happens when we as a species create a Life that is contrary to our best interest.

    Psoas release tool. Once you release both your Psoas and Diaphragm, you'll feel like a new person! I do!

    Hi ma’am, I’ve been struggling with this muscle tension in my neck and shoulder for 8-9 months, I’ve taken lot of medicines but it didn’t work, it’s affecting my career and work. Please guide me as to how I cure it. It would be great help and I’ll always be indebted to you.

      We recommend that you give our tool called the NUCKLE a try. It will be used to release tension around the head, neck, chest, and shoulders and can help improve the way you feel.

      @@AlethaHealth thank you I’m not only appreciating it I also applied it and used it ,and I want to be honest after done it for about three times for about a minute or so ,in about couple hours , I feel so much better lol and I’m going to do some more later 👍
      Now can I use some ice on it because it is still sore ?
      Thank you so much

    • @AlethaHealth
      @AlethaHealth  3 роки тому +1

      @@meradu2 that's great to hear! Yes, you can see if using heat or ice to the area helps with the soreness. You may also want to consider taking one day off in between uses to also give the area more time to recover. Over the course of time as you release the tension in these areas, that soreness can reduce and may allow you to use the Hip Hook each day (or even multiple times per day) if needed.

      @@AlethaHealth yes that is the plan to move from the ball to the Captain Hook lol but for now the ball is more than enough pain

    • @AlethaHealth
      @AlethaHealth  3 роки тому +1

      @@meradu2 that sounds like a great plan. Continue to focus on taking slow & controlled breaths when applying pressure to help the area relax more fully, helping to release that tension. You may even try using the ball up against a wall, similar to the video that we show using this technique with the Hip Hook.

    Ma'am one side of my upper back and neck are tentioned so what i am feeling slightly pain in my one side of my head

    • @AlethaHealth
      @AlethaHealth  Місяць тому

      If you've never been assessed for this pain before, it's best that you start there and see a practitioner. Muscle tension in the upper back and neck area can cause pain directly in those locations, or they can also contribute to headaches. Learning how to release this tension in the muscles and other ways to calm stress levels can be helpful.

    I can’t feel any muscle tension but have really bad anxiety and Cptsd. Is there anyway to become aware of this tension so I can release it??

    • @AlethaHealth
      @AlethaHealth  3 місяці тому

      Mental tension and physical tension can impact each other, but it all starts with awareness and understanding of how to best treat it. For your situation, it would be great to talk with a practitioner/therapist to begin identifying what is causing what you're feeling and how to best work towards improving that.

      Maybe! Have you checked in with a doctor about this? Have you ever seen a PT or even a pelvic floor PT to understand how stress and tension in these areas may be affecting your body?
