I have stopped using Oracle with my tarot decks. It was feeling really forced and I wasn’t getting much out of it. So now I am creating practices where my Oracle cards are the main character, not the sidekick. Recently, I started pulling one oracle card a day and using that card to inspire a mixed media art journal page. I have also been pulling one card a day to inspire a poem or a story that I write myself. I actually got that idea from Kellybear. And it has been so lovely! I was really surprised that the Khalil Gibran prophet oracle did not make it onto your top 10 list. You are the person who introduced me to that deck a year ago and it is definitely in my top three. Thanks for this video Marlene!
Love all your picks! I never used Oracle with tarot and now I do quite a bit. I rarely just pull Oracle cards. P.S I rock the “Granny glasses” look all the time…..because I literally can’t see anything up close anymore. And my eyesight is so bad long distance so readers all over my house and office. I look like Little Red Riding Hood’s grandma. 😂
No one talks about Yggdrasil, it's a cool deck. I use it with the Viking Tarot. They compliment each other perfectly. Plus neat story father did all the art and daughter wrote the guide book. And they are lifelong practitioners of Asatru.
Hi Marelene. I toyed with the idea of the poet oracle decks but thought they would compete with Poesis with I just love. I have even printed all the poems on cards as well. SOTW Yule, Samhain and Imbolc are my favs rn. Granted I live in a snowy climate so they are the vibe rn. The pull of some aspects of Catholicism is real. Maybe because they had incorporated so many pagan rituals and beliefs. There is some comfort there.
Hi Sharon. I love poesis but I haven’t read any of the poems. Isn’t that funny? I might one day but I haven’t felt pulled yet. Thanks so much for being here.
Oooh, I just posted my top 3 oracles of the year. I loved seeing which ones made an impact in your life and practice and that they're so dynamic and different from mine 😊😊
SOTW totally changed for me once the artist changed. I only like the ones by Giada 🤷🏻♀️ Hola Hermana 👋🏼 soy Cubana también 🙌🏼 I love Pegasus too ❤ He’s on my reading table and my old tarot channel was named after Pegasus too .
Hi Marlene! I have some Hawaiian oracles that I always use alone, mostly related to cultural practices, and I also have a French oracle that is one of my oldest decks that I use all the time that I don't think I have ever paired. I also use Claire's decks mostly by themselves. I think she is going to reprint some of the decks that have been OOP. Have you tried the Oracle of initiation by Melissa Lucia? You might enjoy that one too.💖 I love end of the year videos!! This was fun.
Hiya! Oh that’s cool. I’d love to see the decks you use on their own. I haven’t heard of that one but I will definitely check it out. Thanks for being here!
@@MarleneTheresa Fun to be here. I will try and film the ones I don't use with tarot, if I can get to it this month. I don't watch much UA-cam anymore, but I enjoyed watching this video. We have been traveling around a bit lately and I haven't been home much. Fun to say hi!! 🥰
Also an honour and a privilige to have the Hellenic make the list! I love hearing how you describe experiencing it, and how it works so well with Tarot. I also think we've got really similar taste in decks so that makes total sense! xx
Enjoyed this list! I love my Magdalene deck too - I have both this one and the Meggan Watterson. The Yddrassil also looks very interesting. You mentioned you work with the sacred masculine? I would be interested to hear more about that (books or even just a nice deck list 😊) if you ever felt comfortable with sharing. I don’t feel like see much about the sacred masculine and I have struggled to find decks with the ‘right energy’.
2nd comment: thank you so much for introducing me to the mystique of Magdalene deck! I have never seen that one before. I just returned the Meggan Watterson deck because I did not connect with it. But this one looks amazing!
For what it’s worth Marlene, I’ve had a similar journey to you with Catholicism, including time spent as an atheist. In true Gemini fashion I consider myself an unchurched Catholic mystic on one hand and a student of Greco-Roman-Mediterranean pagan religions on the other. So you aren’t alone. I’m of Italian and Sicilian heritage primarily.

Thank you for sharing your practice. I ❤️ the idea of using your daily card as an inspiration for art and writing. ❤😊
That’s such a great creative practice with oracle cards. I actually haven’t got along so well with The Prophet oracle. It is beautiful tho.
Love this video.
Thank you!

I love how our practices change over time.
Omg. Yup. Granny all the way here. lol. Thanks for being here! 🥰

Oh yes. I’d heard that they are a father daughter team. It’s such a beautiful deck. Thanks for watching.

Yay! I’ve rarely found fellow Cubans in this space. How cool.
@@MarleneTheresa so true! We might be the Pegasus of witches 😂

Loved it. I love Theia’s deck and the Mary Magdalene one too ❤
Thank you! 🥰
I totally also want to 'Fulfil my little oracle dream'! Haha Loved this so much! xx

I’m so glad you liked it! 🥰
It’s just such an easy reader for me. Perfection. We do have such similar taste! Great minds and all. 🥰

I’m so glad you enjoyed it! Hm. I’ll have a think on how to explain how I work with sacred masculine and see if I can make a video one day.

It’s so good. My perfect Magdalene oracle.

So similar! Thanks for sharing that. 🥰
