It`s no wonder he did not last long on the earth as it is today. He was to pure and to close to real love and compassion. These are things that truly give us inner peace and the only things we need to all get along beautifully and blissfully.
The government and the corporate big shots are scared by this type of being because it completely relinquishes the need for consumerism
    We love you MJ

God picked a difficult road for you to travel here on earth Michael but you are a strong person and you traveled that road not only with respect and kindness for all but you left this world with so much love in your heart. And you shared that love with the whole world. I too struggle the same issues and it is easy to feel pain, anger, and resentment. But you never did. I want to thank your mother, Michael, for having such a wonderful and talented son and sharing that son with the world. I feel such privilege to have had Michael here in my lifetime. What a wonderful gift to all who knew him. There has never been anyone on this earth like him. Thank you Michael for everything. We all love you.

I just think that he could have done a little more to change himself than the world. It is easy to say awesome words in speeches. Real life is something else. Michael never really let go of his past on the contrary. He was stuck and never accepted imperfection and that is why he never accepted himself.

He was a wise man, a very good good man who tried his best and I really think he is a modern Hero and we must remember why we are here! To LOVE. It's all about LOVE. Thank You Michael for touching my life and I'm honoured to have lived in the presence of you're lifetime, to see you on stage 2 times! ... I forgave my mom and understood "she didn´t know better", I forgave my father for not being an emotional dad, I forgave my siblings for their hurtful words and mostly, I forgave myself, for being an "affair baby". I did not chose my life and now, I wouldn´t change it, because it´s part of who I am. My dad died 5 years ago. The night before he died, at 3 in the morning, he told me how proud he was of me and how much he loved me. Love does heal. Now, my mom, my siblings and ...

I found God and Jesus through Michael's music and I've already forgiven my family and friends from the past because holding grudges isn't healthy for anybody. Me and my mother still have some issues, but I've learned how to get along with her better and everyday I learn how to love them better. It's just when it comes to trying to hug them or tell them I love them face to face that's the hardest thing to do because I wasn't used to that kind of stuff in my childhood.

Why did I never hear this speech, until I read part of it today in Schmuley's book about Michael and heard the whole lecture here on youtube? Why has this never been broadcasted on every single tv channel, or at least on the main channels, and radio stations around the World? So that most of us can hear this message and do something with it.

    • @wflower4709

He is such an extraordinary human being who continuously give love in spite of all the pain he got from media and press who ridicule him again and again he never give up loving and forgiving because he knew that is his God given mission to be the instrument of love but we should also realised that he is a human being and as a human he is not exempted not feel his in-despair soul he has suffered a lot and God grant him the peace and love he ever deserve. Michael Jackson is a gentle giant that truly gets what is really important. Unconditional parental love having an impact on what kind of adult that child will become. Without this unconditional parental love our world is destined to have pyschopathic individuals creating an environment of violence where there isn't peace, joy, nor security.

Shortly after I was born my bio mother died and my father and his wife brought me home. i was beaten by my step mom every day and my father was an absent dad. I grew up feeling unworthy and unloved. When I reached 17, after few attempts of suicide and many strugles, I realized that I wasn´t in my hands to change people around me, but I chose to change myself. I was a reclusive, difficult teen. And I FORGAVE us all. I forgave my bio mom for "diying when I needed her", ...

Many say Michael will live forever because his music will live forever, but that is selling him short.
Michael's spirit and soul will live forever because he WAS love. To be a person of his stature and to still retain innocence, kindness and forgiveness in his heart, is unheard of. Forgive, see the good in people, love, and "everything in between can be dealt with."
If we want to do something for Michael, it's to change ourselves for the better. The rest will follow.

Michael was truly a God-send, whom not alot of people took notice of. I ABSOLUTLY have no doubt in my mind that Michael desirves the Nobel Prize, but I also think, even though he wasn't of Catholic origin, that the Vatican should SERIOUSLY consider cannonizing him as well.

..I have a great relationship. It´s not perfect, we still fight, but I know they love me, I love my mom, care for her and show her everyday how greatful I am. After all, she´s the only mother I´ve known. I have my own kids right now and not a single day passes by without me telling them "I love you with crazyness and passion" @ most random hours. I´m all serious talking about chores and duties and then "Oh, and I love you with crazyness and passion" They make faces but deep down, they love it!!!

I can so relate to this speech. When he started crying, it made me cry. Because I went through the same thing. My parents had childhoods they didn't like either. My father always complained about his father not showing him love. My mother grew up in a dysfunctional family. My father was always a very quiet person and stayed in his room a lot. My parent's didn't know how to say I love you or hug me and my siblings. I'm 29 years old now and don't even know how to hug them or say those 3 words.

Michael, thank you for your message! I also had trouble with my parents and have resented them into my middle age. I was thinking about them today while walking and felt it was unfair to me that I didn't have understanding parents. I asked God to show me the way to deal with the pain. When I came home, I recalled someone mentioned MJ's Oxford speech and I tuned it in.. I think the video was the answer for me.

MJ put into words what this world truly needs...amazing that despite his childhood (of which many other people have experienced) MJ was able to get some perspective and to forgive his Dad - this has inspired me in my own struggles with my childhood and my parents...a beautiful speech - the world can learn a thing or 2 from MJ and his beautiful words...may he be at peace knowing that his music and his words here - will heal the world...

This is such a beautiful speech, i couldnt help crying, it touched my heart. I just can't believe this beautiful man is no longer with us :'(
This is the kind of the thing that needs to be aired on TV. This is the Michael the world should have seen. I was completely unaware of this speech until recently. This is the MJ that i love and his legacy will not just be his music, it will also be his LOVE. thats what he was about and this message is one that the world should hear.

wow that was SO incredibly touching! Wow. In part three when he started cry while speaking of his father, i broke down. It's amazing to me that after all he had gone through in his life he was still able to look at life and the world with so much love in his heart for everyone, even his father. Musical talent aside, THAT is what makes him amazing. This speech is something ill never forget. And when i have children ill always remember his words. Its a shame we lost such an incredible person. RIP

Beautiful Michael, you wanted to make the world better for all of us, especially the children. This speech made me reflect on my own heart and childhood. I have a parent I am struggling to forgive. If you can do this, I can do it. In the end, you understood your father and forgave him. What strength you had. I know your children will remember you for the love you gave them. You even protected them from fame by not having their faces shown. They could go out with other adults and be anonymous.

This was so beautiful.I wish all the news would play this again now, it needs to be heard by everyone. This man was one in a million. Despite everything he had to go through he still had love left in him to share and he still forgave. It broke my heart when he started crying,so sad. Makes me sick how the press treated him and how sick people like the chandlers made up lies for his money..Disgusting..
Hope his children are doing okay and grow up to be like their dad,we need more people like him.

Oh my God, What an incredible speech... this man, was a wise man... a genious, I can't belive that maybe one of the reall last remarcable people of our time has gone... and all we know about him is only the man who was a pop icon when he was so much more than just songs or scandals

I swear, every new thing I learn about this man,I love him more and I didn't even think that to be possible....I knew he was gifted, intelligent, smart and one of the most loving people ever but it is true, noone wants to hear about the good things, that doesn't sell...he said that himself and it is a shame because this world should have been exposed to this speech...it should have been news all over this country. If I had known this man on a personal level,I would have been hopelessly in love.

Ever so lucid, it is humbling...
He didnt need to waste time w academics. His msg came from God, his entertainment talents, a mere excuse God gave him so that us, petty humans, would pay attention to his humanitarianism.
After so much physical metamorphosis I always Michael's sweetness and mesmerizing allure as a halo, not as a face, eventhough I always loved his many styles. That, it is God shining through him...

All the people who think he is a freak and disgrace him for so long should listen to this. He is the man who want to heal the world with his music. I do believe he did change the world through his touching music.
    R.I.P. Michael!! We love you.

Thank you begodsglow for posting our beloved Mr. Michael Joseph Jackson's 2001 Oxford Speech. It was such an honor and joy for me to hear beloved Michael's words. "“The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.” Mahatma Gandhi - I am so proud of Michael. He knew that unforgiveness is like posion and chose to move forward in forgiving his father. Michael was overflowing with wisdom that others can learn from. Beloved Michael truly is a genuine masterpiece of God!

i love him even before as a person and will remember him as a person rather than a personality-as he said"i wanted to be remembered as a person not as a personality." and his speech was all about LOVE,loving life, everything must start with the family,of how will us become someday.

Reading the transcript of this speech in 2006 and subsequently downloading and listening to the audio is what caused me to look up all the information I could find on the two allegations brought against him, because everything within me was screaming "he could NOT have done that" after I finished... After finishing my research, I was furious that I had believed the media.
Beautiful, genuine man. I sincerely hope that he is at rest today and that his children will always remember his love.

*Lectures like MJs show us the path we must take to make the World a better place. So instead of getting more depressed and more immune to all the negative news that haunts us everyday,we must look for inspiring people and lectures in order to fight our inner pain and all the misery and injustice in this World. But some people have to be woken up,because they just seem to be indifferent to all of this.So tv and radio people, why dont you stop brainwashing us and start deliberating us by *

To forgive is the strongest LOVE-tool there is. When you forgive you basically say:"I know that you did what you thought was best. If I was in your shoes I probably have done the same. What you did hurt me but since I've discoverd that love can heal anything I stop blaming you and look at myself instead."
To forgive is freeing oneself and the other. Lord knows I had to forgive some many people that it seemed like an impossible task. But I did and still do.
    Love is ALWAYS the answer.
