Prince Jackson Says Dad Michael Jackson Had 'Insecurity' Over His Vitiligo

- Prince Jackson is opening up about his late father, Michael Jackson’s struggles with his physical appearance. The 26-year-old was on a recent episode the "Hotboxin with Mike Tyson" podcast and spoke about Michael's vitiligo, a condition that causes the skin to lose color or pigmentation. "I think the cause of it is up for speculation, but it's either vitiligo or some form of lupus which contributed to the vitiligo," Prince said. He then got into detail about the impact the skin condition had on his dad's self-esteem. "He had a lot of insecurity around, kind of looking blotchy in his appearance," he said. "So he wanted to see if he could smooth out his appearance, to help with his security on his physical appearance." Michael died in June 2009, when Prince was 12 years old. While chatting Mike, the producer admitted he's still learning about his dad. "He was very interesting. Personally, I'm doing a lot of research on him and learning a lot about his story. And there's so much to cover," he said.

Thanks for the memories, Michael, I have had such a BLAST on this earth to his music! I saw MJ's lovely, stunning daughter Paris (who was also pretty funny!) she played at Mohegan Sun, and I discovered Badflower. I got to know INCUBUS better, (but still not good enough, EVERYONE sang EVERY song, I only knew a few!) I had a close seat and it was a smaller venue, so it was a special show! I fell in love with all 3 bands.

What a wonderful man Prince turned out to be. His mind is still inquisitive and open about his father's life, yet he clearly is paving a way with his own personal values and beliefs. He doesn't appear jaded in controversy and has a positive and confident response to intimate questions presented to him. His father would be very proud.

Thank you Prince. I am a huge MJ fan and always like to learn truth about him. When watching clips of videos from his tours I often wondered what that must have felt like for him to see all of those people and hear them singing his lyrics back at him. It must have given him the biggest rush ever. To have all that love focused on you must have been an experience that he loved. I know he didn’t like touring but I’m sure that those who saw him never realized it based on his performances. He was an incredibly talented, caring and loving person and I pray that there will be more truth speakers to dispel the lies told about him.

Ronan Farrow (Mia Farrow and Woody Allen's son) is a Rhodes Scholar, he really is one of the smartest kids in all of Hollywood whereas Prince went to Loyola Marymount which I'm sure is an excellent college but it isn't Ivy League, what's more, Prince isn't even Michael's kid anyway, he's actually Miko Brando's son.

I've seen numerous interviews with him and although he's relatively bright, he's nowhere near as smart as you MJ fans make out, and what's more he often directly contradicts things that Michael said, especially about his music.
