The pain of that victory scream was epic! From the beating she took in this fight, to nearly being choked to death, to watching her man take a beating to watching Jim die. It all just came out. Such a brilliant victory war cry. Probably the best in the history of cinema! 🎥📽️
I agree completely they were going at it not to mention they had bound and gagged for awhile also...and that scream came with conviction letting us know she can take as well as dish it out... brilliant!!!!!
This scene is a great recent reminder that woman vs woman fight scenes with tension can still be awesome (Natasha vs Yelena was cool but had no tension, they were simply fighting). A lot of female-led action movies in the past few years be forgetting that! I swear something changed in 2016.

Intense woman vs woman scenes in movies and shows have kinda had a resurgence recently with The Harder They Fall, Arcane, She-Hulk (though She-Hulk vs Titania was very held back), Scarlet Witch vs Carter and Monica. There may be some other recent ones that I just don't know how to find at the moment, but they seem so far and few in between now that I'm not sure if the resurgence will lead to way more.
@@kodesh1674 Furthermore, outside of comic book adaptations, woman vs woman fight scenes are mostly REALLY intense and match the energy some real women have when fighting each other.
In comic book adaptations, from 'Blade' to 'Spider-Man' to 'Arrow' to 'The Flash' to 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" to 'The Suicide Squad', etc., they know how to have intense battles that, even if we know the hero may survive it, it's good at not making them not look like it... Until it comes to having women battling women. There's been about 8 in total, very few go that hard, which makes no sense. Again, a recent uptick seems to be occurring, but it simply takes a while to get to the next one/next possible one.

Same as when men fight, it’s all exaggerated. Both parties somehow know how to brawl, and are also somehow even when that simply wouldn’t be the case.
A real fight between men or women is sloppy, uncoordinated and generally is pretty one sided. There’s a lot of grappling and hair pulling.
Any time I see movie fight scenes it’s always the same.
Whether it’s men fighting or women fighting, it has never felt authentic.
This fight scene even though it was indeed a badass fight, is no exception.

I don't think it's that much of a mystery as to why that would give someone - or anyone - the chills.
This fight scene between theses two women were off the rails. Both of these women were throwing serious hands at each other. A couple of times you could see that both of them were into the fight. Regina was throwing them left hooks like a pro boxer. I give both of theses women props.
Uh oh, when Regina pulled out the knife, you know it’s going down. They gonna the do old school way, but Zadie knocked her ass out with that gun, I’m surprised her teeth weren’t knocked out. Then let out that scream !! 💕👏🏾👊🏾👑

It’s good, I grant you that but the best women fight scene I’ve EVER seen was in Kill Bill. No one has topped that yet IMO.
@@megaoldskool76 It is true that other movies have had more athletic and adventuresome, special-effects driven fight scenes. What I really enjoyed was the guttural, palpable (movie character) hatred between the women. It made their particular fight more meaningful than a random beat down. It was why the “Hulk roar” at the end was believable. Now, the most athletic and brutal fight between a woman and anyone was in “Chocolate” (pick a scene). Nothing tops that!
I just watched the Kill Bill fights and they did not even approach the ferocity, energy, seriousness, and realism of the barn fight scene for several reasons.
First, the Kill Bill scenes were an homage to Asian film fights, with breakaway walls, wired bodies, and bassy sound effects.
Secondly, the acting in Kill Bill was not on the same level as in The Harder They Fall. I did not believe they women actually wanted to fight each other. They seemed more interested in putting on a circus act.
Thirdly, the skill level of the fighters in Kill Bill were not evenly matched. This was proven when the protagonist quickly ended the battle with a single move, which she was confident that she could pull off, showing zero glee at the end as a result of her constant confidence.
Lastly, the Kill Bill fighters were clearly “over-powered” humans, not subject to physical laws of gravity, bone density, and physical pain. This made their fight more comical than redemptive.
You don't have many legit fist fights everyone nowadays knows karate or some sort of martial arts when it comes to moives

Hell Yeah, Trudy whopped her ass but I knew they were going to find a way for Mary to win. In the final fights the villains hardly ever win and in this movie Trudy was one of the villains.

Great woman vs woman fight scene in a western I think it's the best in that genre but I think the Afrobeat music playing in the background was the wrong sound track for this scene in my opinion.
2:04 This would have been a good time for Mary to deliver a kick to Trudy's mid section and then finished her off with the broken pitchfork. But I guess that would have finished this fight scene too early.
