Your authenticity and ability to be real in your writing and deliver with your incredible soulful gifts in music has blest so many. You are a treasure and dear friend and this interview captures who you are so well. I love what you said about growing older, what an honest look at how that can feel and then the truth that we will be living eternally and that is what matters most.

Started College in the 80s and Christian music was what I mainly listen to and I very much enjoyed Mr. Duncan's albums. I believe I can say I have more of his albums than of any other Christian artist. There is just something about his soulful voice that I found incredibly comforting. Loved the interview and it really brought back some good memories thinking back to that time period.

Too funny!!! In 1973, while attending that same A/G college, my friends and I also sold our blood plasma. 😂

Our band, Cornerstone Band, opened for SCB in Birmingham, AL back in the day. It was a cool opportunity.

Interestingly enough, the very first song I heard Bryan sing was "Love You With My Life" back in the early 80's. A friend of mine turned me on to SCB starting with that song. I followed SCB, then Bryan in anything he did. I think I own every release he has and recently, I've started asking Alexa to "play music by Bryan Duncan" as I'm working around the house. He's absolutely correct - the lyrics of his songs are the most important part. And of course, the way in which he delivers them just seers the meaning in your heart. And, some of the lyrics have grabbed me recently as if I heard them for the first time.
Bryan's music really is a window into his life-long walk with Christ and the reason I find it so relatable is because, well, it relates to my own walk with Christ.
As a musician, I have leaned and performed various songs of Bryan's over the years (in a lower key of course...) and they are always well received. Bryan is a once-in-a-lifetime type of artist that God has used in a mighty way. Thank you Bryan for your honesty, your sincerity and for sharing your talent with the rest of us who can only dream of hitting a high "C". HAHAHA!

Bryan! Some folk have a voice yet Bryan has a VOICE that is an instrument. Love you Bryan! Great memories waiting to hear your music on KYMS....Simply an amazing voice. I love I'm Lonely Tonight! I play it often..Slow Revival just helped me through dark times. So glad you are still living for Jesus and I'd be so jazzed to sit on the last row with you...talk about fun!!!

I remember when Sweet Comfort Band came on the scene. I really liked them a lot, but I wasn't that big a fan of Brian Duncan. He just reminded me of the cocky little kid in school who knew more than everybody. Yes Brian I was the one who shoved chocolate footballs in the oil tank of your moped.
But after watching this interview I've kind of taken a better view of him mainly because he seems like a real guy. I wish y'all would have talked a little more about Sweet Comfort band.
But I'm glad to see that he's still around and making music for God. I pray God continue to bless you Mr Duncan and who knows I may break down to come out and see you when you're over in Florida again!
    Blessings to you
    bro.

I had Bryan’s Holy Rollin poster on my wall. Armed and Ready was my favorite song but somehow my life turned into Disarmed and Sleeping.

Brain Duncan is a major Christian music hero of mine across the years. I love his music and his style and how he has been self-revealing through his songs. Based on all the interviews I've seen, he is bit self-deprecating and tends to dismiss the things God has accomplished in his life in an effort to avoid glory being attributed to himself. It makes for difficult interviews IMO. I love his music and I love the man he been and has become.

So now we know the sequel to "The Jesus Revolution" needs to be "The Bryan Duncan Story" with a soundtrack by Bob Carlisle. And thanks much for your conversation with Bryan. He counts big-time in the Jesus music movement and I enjoyed playing his records on the radio.

How do I get into radio and play Bryan Duncan?

@@verntweld51 So whatcha do is this, you find a radio station with lots of Friends of Bryan, like you and me, in their listening audience. Then you tell the general manager that you'll be playing only Bryan Duncan songs and that the new promtional slogan will be "All Bryan, All the Time." We're talking a guaranteed ratings bonanza. 😀

@@verntweld51 I can see it now, you'll be rocking the mic and dropping the mic and hosting Bryan as your in-studio guest every morning! It'll be beautiful and I'll be trying to be the lucky caller who wins a signed Sweet Comfort eight-track! 😀

Love Bryan and the interview, but not a fan of the way this was edited. I feel like we missed the realness of the conversation...
